Very helpful. Got a lot out of this. Never seen the symmetry factor explained like that.

I want to have a video derivation of Tafel and Butler-Volmer equations. Also, this is really helpful! Thank you for making this video

This is useful. More detailed explanation of the same for the case of corrosion would be helpful

Hi Zimmer, should tafel plot be extracted from CV in CO2 reduction reaction? in this case alpha will be 0.8?

    Very interesting topic !
Many students find this very difficult to understand

Thank you - I agree, I think the topic is taught in isolation from the rest of the topics, so what I want to do is show how everything is connected. thank you for the feedback

Thank you for the video. I have some electrochemical data, I was able to do a fit of the Tafel equation; however, I noticed my alphas were very small, I think around 0.02, any suggestions?

You may have made one mistake, for example where something is 10 and you have put it in as 100. This happens a lot :)

Thank you for the video! Could you go deeper into the Tafel plot and also the weaknesses of this evaluation method? In my group some people have raised concerns about the meaningfulness of Tafel plots.
