My sister is an A+. I am O+. However, both our parents were O+. We are definitely full siblings and we have found that it is possible but very rare that she became an A+. Science is so amazing. Also she does better on a vegan diet in spite of wanting to eat meat. I am the opposite. Wild!

What's the rare situation called that results in 2 O parents making a child who's A? I'd love to read up on it. I've goggled ans any mention of it is theoretical. So you're a medical first.

@Hiforest I don't know what it's called. But it's true. I doubt she is the first, but it's still pretty cool.

@mkkibbykat I appreciate you sharing this story. I've gone down a rabbit hole of articles that had Doctors scratching their heads lol. There's some rare cases for sure, and really cool to read about. Something called cis AB (where an O mum, had an AB child - thought to be impossible).
It's really interesting. She's got independent blood, it just decided to do it's own thing lol.

@@Hiforest She most definitely has independent blood to go with her independent spirit. LOL! But remember correlation does not equal causation. She'd be a spicy girl no matter what blood type! 🙂

I wonder if there is a "recessive / hidden" gene thing happening, or if epigenetics are happening?

    TL;DR
    No, it doesn't matter
There's little to no scientific evidence to back this idea up yet.

So since horses have something like 30 different blood types, what specific hay or grasses do they each have to eat? LOL

I have AB+ the Australian blood bank mostly won't take my blood.

Only other people with AB+ could safely accept your blood.

@@alidaweber1023 yes this is correct. my understanding is they can receive blood from 0 group. So mine is not really useful most of the time.

i would say the title is clickbait.. but... maybe it is to snatch up the woowoo people and deflate them.
this video is just lacking substance.
why are so many channels putting out such weak articles?
i am here looking for substance and all we get is an answer chatGPT could have given us.

Because they're lazy and people that can't do a simple google search will waste their time watching this woo woo instead.

@@MadmanDKDK are you aware of a platform or channels with higher level journalism and education?
youtube is full of 101 sometimes 201 level videos ... but i want much higher level content. i understand the reason why so much content is lowered to a 6thgrade reading level.... but i am tired of it.

I wish I could give you something of that nature, I like to watch alot of what Mike Israetel (TH-cam: Rennaisance Periodization / RP Strength) promotes, because it's actually science based and Mike is a Phd. and former professor.
Other than that most of my resources are from WebMD, The Lancet or other peer reviewed sources, google is a great place to start really, you just have to be source critical, hence why I mainly / only deal with peer reviewed sources.
That said, there's always new information coming out, and things can change.
