    Best COVID-19 Vaccine | Mechanism of Action | COVID 19 Vaccine Design | Dr. Nagendra Singh | PENS#72
    I have discussed scientific basis of designing of COVID vaccines and their mechanism of actions in this lecture. The history of vaccination clearly demonstrates that vaccines are the most effective medical intervention to reduce death and morbidity caused by infectious diseases. However, many infections are not yet preventable by vaccination and they represent a major cause of mortality worldwide. In the 21st century, the innovation brought by novel technologies in antigen discovery and formulation together with a deeper knowledge of the mechanisms underlying the immune response to vaccination are paving the way for the development of new vaccines. COVID vaccines have been designed using all platforms using classical and new generation methods. I
    The Lectures are given by Dr. Nagendra Singh aiming to spread basic understanding and awareness of biological molecules and reactions. Dr. Nagendra Singh finished his Doctoral and Post Doctoral studies from "All India Institute of Medical Sciences" (AIIMS) New Delhi. Dr. Singh has a vast experience of research and Teaching in the fields of Structure & Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, which also include Biomolecules, Proteomics, Protein Engineering and Drug Design.
    Dr. Nagendra Singh currently works at the School of Biotechnology, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, INDIA (www.gbu.ac.in/FacultyProfiles/.... He does research in Molecular Biology, Structural Biology and Biotechnology. His current research interest include 'Structural and functional characterization of proteins involved in RNA metabolism from human and microbial origin. @Durba Banerjee
      Thanx Durba
      Heart problems could be as COV also binds to ACE receptors on heart cell and cause damage. High level of inflammatory molecules circulating in body can also cause heart problems in covid infection. There are also reports that covid affects endothelial cells as well. All these causes may be contributing to heart ailments in serious cases of covid. Many more data will appear soon as people r still working on all other aspects of covid.

    Thank you sir😊. Sir I wanted to know, why a person infected by covid get reinfected after a period of time but in case of vaccine it's not so?

      @19 IBT 003 Abhay Gupta
      That is because vaccines are developed to evoke stronger immune response so that memory cells are formed to tackle future infection. But how long memory cells will stay that only long term investigation on vaccine will clear.
