For those wondering, our theme park tickets were $223 per person for 4 days. Sunday was the most expensive ticket at $63 and the other days were $53. Since we stayed off property we took public transport, trains for 4 days from our hotel near the airport came to about $48 per person or about $12 a day.

Dylan we are so enjoying seeing your trip to Japan. You are such a genuine person and thanks so much for sharing you trip with us. Your joy and enthusiasm are infectious !
This is the best video I’ve ever seen of Tokyo Sea. Your coverage is fantastic and it’s great to see you experience it for the first time! Can’t wait to make a visit myself in the next couple of years!
So glad you finally made it there!! It’s been a big part of my life for so many years. I was on the initial design team starting around 1995 or so. I’ve had 2 or 3 major projects there over the years and I love each chance to be there. It is clearly the most beautiful and extravagant Disney park in the world. Sinbad is such a treasure with the Art Direction of the legendary Larry Nikolai and it was produced by Chris Crump (Rolly’s Son). I was hoping you I could see the Magic Lamp Theater which was my life for 5 years. It IS only in Japanese, however. Maybe another day ;-) I DO hope you can see “Believe! Sea of Dreams” before you leave. Possibly the most amazing spectacle in the Disney collection. There is nothing like it anywhere in the world. I do wish you could hear it in English but I’m sure you’ll get the point of the tale. Looking forward to day 2 there!
HI Ray - I followed TDS's construction in the early days of the net from groundbreaking to opening (I remember the day the water was turned on to start filling the park and the specific funny warnings given to workers). I first visited TDS six weeks after opening and have visited from Australia six times all up. I call it a Wonder of the Modern World and it is the only park I could happily pay admission and not ride an attraction and still feel like I got my money's worth.
@@tulinfirenze1990 I LOVE that! I worked on it for about 5 years in the states before everything got shipped over but was performing at Wizards in Ikspiari and got to visit the installation team during construction. I’ve had many projects over there since then and agree with you in every way~
@@LeftCoastDrones lol … I’m speaking from some experience as I’ve worked on both! We all have differing opinions which is fine as I respect your’s. Let me first just say that I’ve LOVED Fantasmic since it opened lo those many decades ago. On the other hand, even with the updates and reprogramming which was great, It’s hard to compare to Believe for the sheer spectacle of it. If you’ve seen it live, I hope you speak Japanese well enough to understand the story well as that is such a beautiful part of the heart of the show. Without that, it’s just bells and whistles. There is nothing like your first day at TDS. I can still remember so much from my first day back in 2015. Life changing experience. You never view theme parks the same way again from that point forward
DisneySea is our favorite! Went there last August for the first time. It was hot, but breezy because you're by the sea. And a lot less chaotic than Tokyo Disneyland. Definitely choose DisneySea if you're short on time in Tokyo. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! You did so much! The Aquatopia ride is different in the summer. You actually get soaked!
You said it best, Sinbad was basically a spiritual experience lol I almost skipped it because I thought it was a kiddie ride but it captures the essence of all classic Disneyland dark rides, whimsical, detailed and an earworm of a song. Like if Pirates and Small World had a baby.
Woo hoo!! Living vicariously through your videos!! 😍 What truly amazes me here is the detail of all the theming they have built! I mean, a volcano? Full size steam ship?? Top of my bucket list for sure! Thanks for sharing!! ♥
Glad y'all are having fun! I stayed at the Mira Costa hotel at DisneySea a few years ago and it was ~$900 for 3 day/2 night stay (including passes to both parks, breakfast, dinner, line skips, monorail access, and souvenirs).
I feel totally validated having you of all people saying it’s the best theme park. I try to explain to people why I feel that way but you have to be there to understand. I’ve told Best Life and Beyond (in person) that they need to go there. Now they have your stamp of approval. Great video!
It’s really something special, the park has so many beautiful spots that it’s for sure in the number one spot for me. At least for now u til I come across another amazing park. lol
What an emotional pilgrimage. I love your true love and appreciation of theme parks in general. I grew up a couple miles from geauga lake park and sea world Ohio in aurora oh. Had passes to both every summer. They then became six flags after the buyouts and eventually closed. Broke our hearts.
This park is unbelievable. Stuff of dreams. Really relate to your being emotional there, would feel the same way. Would feel very grateful and in awe at the same time.
Dylan we are enjoying every video, are you planning on doing a room tour of your Tokyo accommodation? I would like to get some feedback or ideas where to stay besides a Disney resort. Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to shoot this great video and to let us visit the park vicariously! I didn't know such a magical and one-of-a-kind place existed in Tokyo.

Fun fact: The Disneysea version of Indiana Jones uses electric actuators for the ride vehicles, unlike the hydraulic actuators on the Disneyland version. As a result, the Disneysea version actually has less downtime, because it is easier to maintain and less serious if something breaks. THE video and vlogging experience I wanted to see. The editing was on point to bring us along as we discovered this wonderful park. Pointed commentary about how there is something to see in every inch of the place made this super exciting, like the first time energy is so real. Letting us see those emotions, hearing it in your voice humanized this beyond just a travel vlog. This was a dream come true. And we knew it was important. I can understand why many people refer to this as the best of Disney "Noncastle" parks. I'd almost be prepared to call it "Tokoy Disney's Islands of Adventure."😄😄
I think Tokyo Disney resort is one of the Most popular lands in Japanese, because Japan Tokyo is popular for it's pop culture ips, Thomas, Mario, sonic, universal and Disney Tokyo is an amazing place to visit, I'm glad you enjoyed Disneysea, the park opened the same year after California adventure in 2001
Hello there! I'm looking to travel solo and visit DisneySea. I'm looking for rooming suggestions outside of the park, do you have a video or info on that? Also do you suggest November for this year? Thanks so much for your insight!
We stayed off property and I briefly covered that in my travel vlog to Tokyo. We booked it through Booking.com and got a really good deal. Booking, Expedia or Google will be the best when looking off site from Disney.
They call it Premier Access and no we didn’t. Since we were there for two days we didn’t need to rush through things and didn’t mind waiting for some of these rides. 😁
The ONLY good thing about Soaring ironically is the queue and pre-show. The queue features art work related to the female SEA member and her family. The pre-show features an animated sequence where things in the room come alive. After that, you get Soaring around the world, which is a let down. @@ThemeParkObsessionDD
The queue and preshow are apparently far more spiritual there. DIfferent setup for the attraction. I don't know how much this would change the ride experience thought. Love your videos! Thank you for sharing your journeys. @@ThemeParkObsessionDD
The boat is actually a replica of the Queen Mary in Long Beach as a homage to where Disney was supposed to open their nautical theme park in Long Beach, CA but the plan ultimately scrapped!!
This only proves that Japan values its people and their money by creating and producing an attraction that is far more superior than the ones in the United States. It only proves how much the Disney Corp. the man running at appreciates its customer and the hard work it takes a family to save money to come to any Disneypark.

I think Tokyo Disney resort is one of the Most popular lands in Japanese, because Japan Tokyo is popular for it's pop culture ips, Thomas, Mario, sonic, universal and Disney
Tokyo is an amazing place to visit, I'm glad you enjoyed Disneysea, the park opened the same year after California adventure in 2001
Lmao You guys must have brought some jinx with you from California because I've never seen the Temple of Crystal Skull breaking down 🤣
Hello there!
Dylan please visit Star City or Enchanted Kingdom in the Philippines, they waaaaay better than Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, I promise. :)
I’ll have to put those on the list 😁
Do they have a genie + or fast pass to purchase & if they do, did you guys buy it?
They call it Premier Access and no we didn’t. Since we were there for two days we didn’t need to rush through things and didn’t mind waiting for some of these rides.
😁
That volcano though…I’m shocked
It’s stunning in person.
Gorgeous. I woulda used that fastpass on soarin tho haha
We thought about it but decided it wasn’t worth it since it’s nothing too new. But the building it was in looked stunning.
I wish we ended up getting a version of Disney Sea. That would have been amazing.
Team Chandu 🐯 its a shame that you didn't play the beautiful song on sinbad that was witten by Alan Menken
Dylan, is there somewhere one can go online to view the master list of your 189 coaster credits?
I don’t have it online, I have a file on my phone that I keep track. Should be adding a bunch this year that I’m looking forward to.
@@ThemeParkObsessionDD you should upload that file so your fans can see it
楽しそうでなりよりです!😊
It was so much fun! I can’t wait to go back
This only proves that Japan values its people and their money by creating and producing an attraction that is far more superior than the ones in the United States. It only proves how much the Disney Corp. the man running at appreciates its customer and the hard work it takes a family to save money to come to any Disneypark.
Nice video, Dylan.
Why does this come off as so condescending LOL
Your like a kid in a candy store when you get in. ;)
