I have suggested it for like 90 videos in a row.
People joke, but this weapon legit carried my ass through my first playthrough. Good damage (great damage in certain situations), good stun, fairly good recovery. Every time I tried another weapon, it didn't take long before I went back to Ol' Reliable when struggling against a boss or area

im doing my first playtrought and same im using the large club and i cant find a weapon to replace it cause it really a good weapon
I recommend St Trina's Torch for it is unusual

This is already handy - but the Link timestamp is inspired.
One thing I sorely miss coming from dark souls III is the dexterity infusion being named sharp. Suboptimal as it was, I found great amusement in running about with a piece of driftwood I had somehow managed to carve an edge out of. Keen clubs just don't have the same ring to them.
Thankfully however, there exists something nearly as satisfying. With the club you find in the fortified manor, you can infuse it and end up with something simply named the "Heavy Hammer." It's even decent, as not only does it scale well with strength but it's one of the longest in it's class, though still not nearly as long as the scepter of the all knowing.

Is anyone else interested in Chase ranking the weapons after the showcase? Like a letter grade. Obviously you can use any weapon and succeed but some weapons are more optimal and such on.
Good idea, but most weapons in the same class are just carbon copies of eachother with different damage, scaling and length.
I would rather see him rank ashes of war (pvp)

My favorite technique fof dual bonks is the crough R1. It comes out very fast and it catches those wrethed crouchpokers off guard.

The flaming large club looks so cool
Very few people carry 99 of all boluses with them so status is a lot more useful than just getting a possible free hit while the opponent cures the status.
I can count on one hand the opponents that used boluses in 5 months of duels and invading.
If they weren't so time consuming to farm, more people would probably have them but as it stands, only people who were given them by someone else carry them for active use.
That's because using a bolus is just as bad as using crimson flasks. It trivializes status builds.
Do you happen to be on consoe? On PC everyone has max boli.

@@KatyaAbc575I am on console, yes. On PC, people can just cheat in as many consumables as they want so they don't have to rely on a second person.

Overleveled Bullgoat is usually a death sentence lmao, but Chase is superhuman.
Large Club was my favorite weapon in dark souls, that r2 was so good at catching backstab fishers. Added poison was icing on the cake

Man Link is becoming more patient, spacing better, he started ok and now he actually keeps chase on his toes. Never give up Link the experience will keep getting you better.
I found some unique/varied weapon animations I don't think I've heard you cover or anyone else but I could be wrong.
Crouch & crouch walk usually have the same animations but crouch RUNNING attacks are unique on a bunch of weapons (particularly dual wielding) & different than regular running attacks.
You probably already knew this or covered this & my attention span of a gnat missed it but it blew my mind the other day when I noticed lol

Yo Chase - can you do some coverage on split weapon types, like an offhand thrusting sword + mainhand halberd? Would be awesome to see some of the more advanced weapon combos showcased.
4:40 it's not the only bonus. If you run the Kindred of Rot Exultation talisman you raise the attack power by 20% for 20 seconds too:)

Made an int/fth Aerith build! Still getting it down and i dont have all the spells incantaions, have no idea what to use… but having fun with it and using a twinblade for swaps this time! Its got the golden order seal and gilmir glintone staff for option spells.. it’s overload but super fun! I want youbto try some light roll glass cannon stuff if u like faster paced its fun, u can get killed easily but the fun outweighs the occasional mismatches!

I totally ran into you for the first time today, I swear it was you. Name started with an A, it was this build with this armour and they were throwing every pot and urn in the game in stormveil castle. They nearly knocked me off the edge as soon as I came in when I was trying to just make it a 1v1 but we ended up finally getting them after a 5 minute hectic mess of a fight when one summon was killed and a hunter came in.
Always a fun time going clubbing :D Can't wait to see what you do with Family Heads!

EDIT: Idk the more I think about it the harder it would be to implement and have unique interactions and such for quests but that's just pie in the sky stuff.

You should do a Carian sword sorcery build. Not technically a weapon obviously but the mixups between carian slicer and carian piercer with max cast speed is devastating. I dont even use ranged spells.

How does Chase navigate the menu so quick and easy while moving. I get right stick clicking so he can see but how does he use the dpad while having the joystick still handled?

I think the large club is also one of the longest great hammer in the game, like the hit at 10:31 would not hit on like the great mace

Flaming strike is my fave ash of war for these bonk beauty's.
The large club is cool just it doesnt have bleeding and life regen as you hit. I am wondering if the effects of bleed and regen is better with a high arcane build.

If I use any weapon without a horizontal swing + a poke, I feel naked in these games and can't do anything 😂

I'm not sure if this is exclusive to great stars or whether it can work with all great hammers, haven't had much chance to test it as I kinda stumbled across it only today, but I feel like there's something funky going on with their crouch pokes. I was fighting someone who was using dual daggers, and I could just crouch attack in their face over and over again, with 58 poise (power stanced daggers do 55 poise dmg per L1), they hit me at least 4 times which should have broken my poise on the 3rd hit but it didn't so it either gives extra poise when doing it, or its resetting poise without the stagger? Or maybe the leech from great stars is leeching poise? Who knows, but it might be some useful tech if its not some unintended bug.

He had a good thing going there with the poison procs. Unusual style, I dig it. Good use of spacing and area control too.
I can't remember if Chase has done the Golem's Halberd but it slaps with Lion's Claw Ash of War if you can land it.
I really want to see you tackle the daggers.

I never really considered clubs hammers...they're more like...um..clubs. Just like the next weapon you should try...the Ringed Finger. Antspur Rapier is cool too.
