@@scarIatte They ARE saying appeal! They're saying アピールしてください , as in "appeal". Wasei-eigo, so instead of meaning a 'to be appealing to someone', it became broader to mean to 'show off', or 'call to attention', so they're asking 'please make a show of yourself'. In the same way, when asking someone to show off their 'appeal', you'd also say the same, although I'm not exactly sure in what instance would that not be weird and rude to ask. You can even double-check this by looking at the numerous Japanese Phasmophobia guides.
I thought it was Appeal too but ended up changing it all to Appear last minute as it made more sense in eng.. Lowkey sad cause I was right the first time but oh well 😿
