It's free because it's an early access game that's still in development. Thats how it's meant to work until its feature complete. I'm not saying they aren't absolutely amazing or that they don't go above and beyond, just that this is how it's meant to work when something is in early access. Everyone is just so used to being robbed by greedy devs who put out DLC for incomplete projects. This is early access done properly & that's why they have such a loyal following. Well, that and the fact that they have created the greatest car game ever made. They are beyond dedicated & it shows.

@@MeadeJ67Look up Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades. It's a VR game by one guy that's been in early access for 7 years and has been getting content updates every Friday. Anton Hand (the developer) and the BeamNG team are probably my favorite devs of all time.
This game has better updates than most games
Edit: only concern is that the devs leave or gets greedy or abandoned which is definitely not rockstar games lol
And that's too for free. No DLCs

It's difficult to express just how beautiful BeamNG is, it is an absolute love letter to the community.
The idea that I paid once for a game I already thought justified its price at that time, and then continued getting free content for years is just mind blowing.
Sincerely, thank you BeamNG staff, what you have created is a masterpiece.
I bought this game in October 2015, or 5 months after release. It's crazy seeing how far this game has come. What's even crazier is that the devs don't make any content paid, and they haven't ever raised the price of the game either. I bought the game in 2015 for $25, and it's still $25 in 2023, almost 2024. Huge props to you guys!

I remember when it was very... experimental in the early stages. Not much to do, but man you could wreck the heck out of the first truck on that first 3D grid map all day
@@purplepurplesaurasne I sadly don't remember anything from playing the game in the early days (I was 7 lol). I imagine you could though, considering the physics engine still has some big bugs
I’ve said it Before and I’ll say it again… beamNG devs are some of the only devs that make a game just better and better with each update.

@@aymeric5037 the T series feels more of a remake instead of a remastered because all of the previous things is basically not there anymore...
Now there are very few devs left who really listen to their community, and do not make their game solely for the sake of money. Beamng devs are one of them. You guys are doing a great job, and with every update to beamng, the game gets exponentially better. Thank you!

Guys please give me a way to actually give more money for this stuff or something! I bought this game years ago and feel like I have been robbing you blind since. We literally started with what was a glorified physics demo for collisions and now have one of the most realistic, comprehensive opened ended driving games that exists. Hats off to you guys for the passion you put into this game!

Yeah, they have remastered the T-Series (Truck) as well. There's even a new cabover version of it, just awesome.

I have only 2 games(1) : ETS2 and BeamNG. Seams like they enrich each other every day. Keep it up!
(1) I have also : SimRail and Train Sim World, but these games just aren't funny, enjoyable, even if they are very well developed and powerful.
You have to take into consideration both aspects: making a game 1 : powerful and realistic, 2 : enjoyable. ETS2 and BeamNG do the job.

Anton Hand (developer of H3VR) and the BeamNG team are my favorite developers of all time. Both of you capable of doing so much for early access, defining what "early access" means and not "rushed and unfinished, but here's some DLC to tide you over".
