Note that he said Rich men was the first song that he recorded with an actual microphone. This was well prior to that because he’s recording on his iPhone. To be open and honest we first have to be honest with ourselves. He knows that all too well and knew that he had to eliminate the drugs and alcohol. He doesn’t want to pretend that those had nothing to do with his circumstances.
