Haha thanks! I try not to be too historical, only to give you some context about the ww2 bunkers :) I was supposed to travel with a friend, but she couldn't make it. Also, we have a new playlist on solo travel in the channel!
thank you so much! I tried not to dive too deep on the ww2 bunker history, but I do love learning some general history 😅 we've got a lot more adventure videos coming up in the channel! :)
@@TheTravellingFoxes I’ll type you a comprehensive report :) I have a 6 year old daughter and she really loves historically and geographically interesting locations. So I’ll certainly bring her with me to discover this together.
Hi there! Yes it was a unique experience hiking through these ww2 bunkers! I’ve never experienced it or seen one before. I’m still working on my citizenship. I’ve been living here for 5yrs now :)
Hahaha yes not every bunker…plus they are not well-maintained - people trash the place so you can imagine how it is 😆 I’m just afraid of wildlife there like snakes! (If there are any)
You do realize that traveling in to these areas you could accidently go missing for ever? I grew up in this region and those bunkers can be dangerous . As there are still dozens of bunkers ,with open uncovered observation , machine gun holes and air and ventilations shafts . where you can fall in to and never be heard from again . And its not a joke people vanished children vanished and there are still some bunkers that where never found and contain extremly dangersous substances or booby traps . Never and i mean never go in to the dunes alone when looking for bunkers and never enter one .
@@williamdrijver4141 laugh about land mines but i know there are still 88 mm mortars out there , also some bunkers still have hatches that are booby trapped . and there is a missing bunker with 100 goliath tanks little wire guided tanks with 1000 kg of explosives . all still unacounted for. Als a bunker with 3 truck full of cigarettes that has gone missing.
Hi! Thanks for your concern; but this bunkerroute is highly visited and maintained well-enough to be "safe" to explore. There were always passerbys on this specific route. I even joined a little guided tour at one point where they took some folks inside one of the bunkers. I agree, it's not great to explore most of these hidden bunkers, which is why I stuck to the official WW2 bunker trail :)
@@TheTravellingFoxes Good just stay on the route as people died when going of wondering around falling in one of those holes . or getting lost in the tunnel network . There is also a huge medical bunker near the canal if you see the Het witte Theater/ or that huge artwork , there are 2 small little bunkers between the 2 little tree parks . those are entereances to a 10.000 capacity medical bunker build by the germans
4:03 to see how it looks like inside the bunkers! Would you dare explore them yourself? What do you think of this hiking trail in the Netherlands?

That’s good solo adventure as historical spots are always fascinating. Do you live in Netherlands permanently and got citizenship there?

"Let's get out of Amsterdam!" Best advice of the day 🙂
Bwahaha! Indeed, the city can feel a bit stuffy sometimes :D Good to be in nature! Thanks for watching my little hiking adventure in the Netherlands!
I like your bag! Is it waterproof?
Thanks! It’s Timbuktu brand; I actually borrowed it from a friend to see if I like it myself 😅
Also, did you wear yellow shorts so in case you get lost, you can easily get spotted? 😂 ✌🏼
bwahaha, that was the plan! you can spot me from miles away!
I wouldn’t walk inside these places… 😰

You forgot about the landmines, ghosts and 90+ year old Nazis still roaming that area! 🙃
