As a guy who just bought one of these second hand but brand new, I did not receive the owners manual so this video helped for sure. I did own a Dave Scadden McKenzie Drifter X2 about 15 years ago so it was extremely similar assembly. The video helped for sure. Thanks.
Much thanks to you for filming this I bought this pontoon boat 3 years ago and it stayed in my shed for 3 years as well ! Worried that mice might have gotten into the box and chewed it into pieces ? Fortunately everything seems to be in good shape no chew damage that I can see at this time. Im retired and discovered that I’m too busy doing other things.. so I’m going to be selling this as soon as I can assemble it…
My dad has a boat like this one not sure if it is same brand but he had a very bad stroke and he has been bed ridden for over a year now so it basically became mine. Watching this video I am going to try to assemble it tomorrow and going to see if he added anything. I look forward to using it.
@@johnbeckelhymer219 sorry to hear about your dad. The first time assembly isn’t quick but once you figure out all the parts it’s rather simple to put together every time.

In my trial run with the riser installed I found the height to be almost impossible to row with the oars. I do plan on installing a trolling motor which will be nice with the pedestal riser though.
Sorry, but there are no replacement parts for this. Pop a tube like I did and you can't get another. Call them and order another tube. Can't do it. Rip off!
@@jerryechevarria799 Hi, the XT has bigger zippered storage compartments by the oar locks and comes with a stripping tray and transport wheel. I think that's it. I just bought a Colorado. Couldn't justify buying the XT for something like $250 more. I am going to make my own transport wheel. Thanks

Best vid on colorado xt ever thanks
I really appreciate that. Thanks! Just getting started on my channel.
Great video! Bought one for my son and I!
Thanks! Hope you guys enjoy them.
I bought one second hand that had that same pedestal and it makes the thing unusable bc you cant row withojt the oars hitting your knees
Yeah, the pedestal should only be used with a trolling motor set up. I had the same issue.
Great video! What is the distance from the bottom of the seat frame to the bottom of the pontoon?
Thanks. I’ll take a look tomorrow and get back to you.
@@freerangecamper awesome, thank you!
What rod holder did you get for yours? I am having a hard time locating rod holders to fit the frame with its 1 1/4" diameter.

@@MrThebirddog interesting. So that’s why this was $399 because it’s old stock/obsolete? Guess people should buy the newest version to be safe.
Well done. You don't have the Colorado XT model. You have the Colorado model.
Do you know what the difference between them are?

Haha! I just now read the box. All good, I’m happy with the storage on it and I loved the price.
