My flat in Boksburg was burgled in 2002, I called the SAPS and they told me to leave everything the way it was and wait for the forensic team to come and take fingerprints...i`m still waiting for them to arrive...
I'm sorry for your ordeal. We also had a break-in/house robbery, and assault with intent to do GBH in 2021(A family member was assaulted). We have been waiting for Roodepoort SAPS to give us an update. Roodepoort & West-Rand suburbs came out in the top 5 highest recorded break-ins/house robberies for 2023.

No it is not. Crime in Zimbabwe is nothing near as bad as South Africa. I can safely walk anywhere here, unlike SA. Carjacking would be headlines here.
If you see how police officers behave in private you will understand why they get nothing done.I have a flying squad member as a neighbour and when he's not at work he parties (loud music nevermind the other 28 units in the complex. The first day of covid lockdown multiple police vehicle came to him to fill up police vehicles with crates of alcohol
I've witnessed in one of the neighbour's homes, cops distributing amongst themselves the "loot" they confisticated from illegal street vendors. Makes you wonder what other shady things they do in the dark.
I had a break in around 2016. Upon entering my gate, I saw my door was ajar and immediately knew. There was a police van passing and I ask them to go inside and look if the perpetrators are still inside or not. I was told by the police in front to my gate, to go to the police station and open a case 😢. They were right there and couldn't just look
Your stories are so entertaining, but they are too short 🥺 We need more detail Make em at least 40 min 🥺 That will also boost your watch time cause we will watch!!!
Polygraphs are a waste of time, they never imply conclusively guilt or innocence. So someone refusing to take one doesn't prove anything. In fact, if you're innocent you might be better advised to refuse to take it.
It all starts from the very top echelons i.e. President, ministers, etc. SA has almost zero consequence management and people know they can do anything and nothing will be done about it. Sadly criminals are taking advantage of this immensely.
This situation raises questions about whether individual police officers' effectiveness is assessed and whether appropriate measures are taken when a particular officer fails to meet their performance standards (for example, providing training, counseling, and coaching, considering reassignment or a role change, implementing probationary periods and/or terminating employment).
Ugh, give us a break...google crime stats by country and go to bed, you need some rest. We are talking about South Africa here, the 3rd most crime ridden country in the world and you dare to mention Canada? Are you so insecure and self centred to just try to make everything about you? Get a life!

I hate when Bongani talks this way on Carte Blanche but goes on 702 to call South Africans xenophobic when they complain about illegal foreigners committing crimes in the township, it's like hes getting paid to play both sides.
So you mean that it's foreigners who make SA the 3rd most crime ridden country in the world just before Afghanistan? You are clearly part of the problem here, not Bongani! And you are definitely a xenophobe!
Well a large group of South Africans show xenophobia when they paint all foreigners with the same brush for committing crimes. This in itself is xenophobic. Not all foreigners are criminals right? So there’s nothing wrong with Bongani’s comments. Try thinking a little more before jumping to conclusions.
At this poin SAn's should take the law into their own hands because the authorities are not doing their jobs and communities are being terrorized! Thats what communities did in the old days and crime was minimal!
SAPS is in a sad state of affairs. It's watered down. A person would wonder if this was intentionally done by the anc, for them to have their way with state capture & corruption in SA.

I believe it is their duty to fight crime and protect South African, where it is against burglars or murders.
What's even scarier is authorities are very quick to investigate when a person has killed a criminal in self defence or if one evades taxes.
It is impossible to trust them. I am sorry for being blunt.
Tax investigations are acted on as they feed their own pockets with the money
So true!
So quick to prosecute as well, it's like court dates suddenly become available but the hardened criminals take forever to be prosecuted.
