I'm hard of hearing (HoH) with auditory processing disorder (hard for brain to isolate and interpret speech from multiple overlapping sounds)
So my brain would not have been able to hear that phrase without you pointing it out

How does it affect music? Does some of it just sound like white noise? You got me all curious.
@munky342 my personal experience with it is that you don't separate the individual instruments, you just hear the 'whole' as one thing.

Except maybe Jo Brand. I’m not sure who she is, but I’ve had office colleagues who were funnier than she. Luckily, Rob Brydon was comedic enough for the both of them, so it was still a great show 👍🏻.

I'm an American (sorry Jimmy) and think this show and a number of other British programs are darned funny. I don't think they could put something like this together in the US.
I can only imagine that this must be much more hilarious to the English since they'll get all of the references to things happening in their country through out their lives.

A hobby that involves taking photos of hundreds of different and historically interesting manhole covers - especially in a city like London - sounds pretty normal and harmless to me. It's no more odd than collecting pub signs or making brass rubbings or taking copies of the inscriptions on gravestones.

The World Cup in Qatar thing was insane. It was, what, 2021? And at least one stadium was built with a ton of slave labor and underpaid workers and little water. And then BTS’s Jungkook sang there and I’m still not over why we stopped talking about the Qatar Stadium and who the hell agreed to send Jungkook over there to perform. He’s younger than I am, but he’s an adult man who, given some information, probably could tell it was a bad look to to to Qatar. Yet nobody seems to care anymore? What?
This is the best one. There’s only one person i don’t like and they don’t talk much.
This is actually one that I can watch. Generally avoid it with Jonathan Ross and David Walliams and it seems like this is their panto where they turn up every year!!!

the Farage joke by Jimmy is rather ironic, given how much of a darling he's since become by the right wing crowd, even speaking at a major event with so many major conservative darlings just within the last couple weeks. it's so cringey to see how hard he's trying to come off as this "dangerous, edgy" comedian lately. granted as much as I enjoyed Jimmy as a host with being into panel shows for over a decade now, I always found his actual stand up very hackneyed and surface level. like he's reading out of a joke book.
I really do feel like if his tax scandal had only just happened now, he'd wind up handling it VERY different, unfortunately. I regret to think he'd go on about how it's "just the woke mob trying to bring me down".

No. They didn't. It's not islamaphobic to question the bribery behind it being held there and the human rights issues. The heat was insane, the local tv controlled the access to VAR. The refs stopped the game every 2 minutes and ruined the flow of nearly every game. The final was a great game but the tournament was poor overall.
