That tap is useless. Water will fall into the hand while opening. Close washer should be in the top side.

Hi,
The tap is above the cooking vessel and the water will be poured in the vessel when it will be used, and this is for the stock cooking where the vessel need water whenever is required.

good observation, tap can be operated from side as well, and the tap is flexible, it can be rotated to either side as per comfort and requirement.
