I just love your vlogtober videos. I've left things at Walmart and had to go get it. Also they forgot to put a bag of groceries in my things at pickup. Jude is so cute waving his hands and feet wanting dinner which looks delicious. Sometimes tell Luke not to let you forget something important and kids can surprise you. He seems very helpful. I'm with you on early Christmas shopping! I happily bought 2 things for our son-in-law already because I happened to learn of 2 things he had mentioned that he really liked and he is sometimes hard to buy for. They are in a box in the basement as the start to things I'll be gathering for my loved ones in the days and weeks to come. If I'm finished shopping by Thanksgiving, that will make my December a leisurely season of wrapping gifts, celebrating Advent, attending holiday events, etc.
Say yes to early Christmas shopping! Since my kids were little, I tried to get most of the presents by early November. Merchandise is already in the stores and staff aren't exhausted yet. it saves so much time and energy, which I never seemed to have enough of. After Thanksgiving, I was then able to do a bit of baking, decorating, family activities.
When my children were little (All now in their 40's) I had my Christmas Shopping done by Mid-October. It was always such a stress free Holiday season because of this.

The Walmart order situation was a blessing in disguise. You then got some new Christmas ornaments and the boys probably loved all of the seasonal decor and getting out. You are not crazy. Christmas will be here soon. I like getting my shopping done early too so you are not alone. I was pausing the video to type comments and asked about the t.p. but you answered that. I am glad it worked out and you got to treat yourself to another coffee. Soup is always a good choice. You are always so productive and you have pretty handwriting btw!

Loving watching your vlogs Hilary!! We have the same Keurig and if you push the 8oz and the 12oz together at the same time it will enter descaling mode. I followed a youtube video but you put in 14oz of vinegar and 14oz of water in the reservoir, push the K button each time it flashes until the reservoir is empty then clean out the reservoir and fill with water never shutting off or lifting the lid the light will still be flashing run all the water thru and after that is empty the machine should shut off and be out of the descaling mode. Hope this helps!!

We have 11 grandkids and buy presents between Christmas and New Year for the following Christmas. There are a lot of end of year sales, so it is a little cheaper....but the trick is NOT to lose the master list. LOL
I'm glad you got your Keurig going. No fun not having coffee in the morning. I also put cinnamon in my coffee but I grade a little nutmeg in there just a tiny bit makes it super delicious! You may want to try that I remember that you have a lot of whole nutmeg pods that you bought a long time ago now they're kind of pricey Starbucks uses that little trick as well. It's good that you called Walmart about the toilet paper it costs a small fortune nowadays!😆

Lol, that garter snake was thinking he'd have a nice sunbath after days of rain and then the kids discovered him~ bet he was happy to be released back to the big outdoors. No way are you crazy. I started Christmas shopping in April. I do a little each month because that is easier for me. I’m almost done except for treats that I won’t buy until November and a few advent calendar items.

I LOVE the kids found a snake. Sounds like my brother and I when we were growing up! Of course, where we lived we had to watch out for copperheads and cottonmouths, lol. I had a "remember when" you mentioned deep cleaning the bathroom and within minutes little ones will be in with dirt and leaves. What I wished was noticed was the big smiles on their faces of having fun, adventure outdoors.

I start Christmas shopping early.. like summer early! LOL.. it's best to have time on your side so you can catch sales and the retailers have plenty of stock of things. I like to spend November wrapping and baking for Christmas and December is to decorate the whole house and enjoy the season. I don't like to rush last minute. Christmas is a season not just a day :)

Early shopping is a great idea. My sister starts in January, she has older children. I start in September so I can fun shop closer to Christmas. I don't really need anything, just enjoy the ambiance without the pressure. 🙋♀️

I’m sure you do this but when I descale the Keurig or coffee pot I “pair the task” with cleaning the drains of the kitchen sink and other sinks. Baking Soda and hot Vinegar that just went through the Keurig makes for an amazing cleaner for those sometimes icky kitchen sink drains ☺️ (we usually descale at night- run two large cycles and leave on and rinse in the am with water cycles)😎

Try “wet and forget” for tub and shower. Follow the directions. You will love it. I get mine from Amazon, but you can sometimes find it at Lowes 👍🏻 PS. I always have all my shopping, wrapping done by Thanksgiving.
My guess is, Walmart didn’t have enough workers. I live in western North Carolina, this is normal here. McDonald’s, Dollar stores, anyone …. Lots close at 4 and 5 because no one will work. Or they just stay closed. Even our Drs. offices are down to 4 days now. One of our main Walgreens had to shut its doors because they didn’t have a pharmacist. It’s common here. If you order curbside at Walmart here, you can’t pick your order up till next day or two. Regardless of how early you put the order in. That, and we don’t have food products available. Yeah…it’s crazy.

Hillary you might pick up a jar of nescafe clasico instant coffee. It's a dark roast and I use it for those emergency times like you had when I need a coffee. It's quite good and with a little bit of cream and vanilla and cinnamon I think you would find it a good substitute! I just ordered your book and can't wait to get it I know we'll have a happier Christmas because I'll be more organized
I have already bought (a ridiculously expensive) stocking holder from Anthropologie, I saw it and thought it just might work for our fireplace/mantle which has no wood and is topped with an ugly uneven slab of slate. I'm thrilled because it actually does work perfectly and after 11 years of trying to figure out a solution, I found one!! I also ordered Sugar Paper wrapping paper because our Target doesn't carry it locally and it sells out fast. I do get Dollar Tree paper usually, but last year I wasn't a fan of the changed prints. I enjoy wrapping so it was sort of a treat, but it's out of the way now :)
Glad you went back for the tissue. I've left behind, and truly $$out of the pocket when things aren't retrieved. I know...want to kick ourselves, but you had two very active little guys with you, easy to do! A good thing to educate kids about is snakes. Most are safe, but even in New Jersey there are some to avoid. You have such a sweet family. Blessings!
Get it now before it's all picked over. Plus it gets cold where you are so you can stay home and watch Christmas movies instead of last minute shopping. Here in Texas we shop in December wearing shorts and flip flops.

Did youcall the store to see if the toilette paper was left at cash or turned in from your cart? At stores in my area they can pull up receipt with the card that was used to pay. Commented too early lol glad you asked.

How do you keep cinnamon from collecting at the bottom of the mug.... mine just doesn't mix in. Also I always liked being done early with Christmas shopping, but the only one who I seem to be able to do that now is my daughter in law. Girls are easy. But I have a grown son with 2 grandsons... 28 and 18 and none of them ever know what they want!!! The older they get , the harder it is. I do get gift cards and gas cards but I like to have a gift under the tree. Also I love baked potatoes with chili on top with onions, cheese , sour cream and chives.. yummmm A complete meal!

not crazy for wanting to get Christmas done. I did alot of my shopping in August. just have to get some stocking stuffer then I'll be done. I love it getting it done earily so I don't have to be out in the husle and busle of Christmas shopping. great video. and very cool the kiddos caught a snake.
Early shopping is a great idea. My sister starts in January, she has older children. I start in September so I can fun shop closer to Christmas. I don't really need anything, just enjoy the ambiance without the pressure. 🙋♀️
I love Christmas, but I like it to be stress free, I am a early shopper for Christmas gifts, and I think this year by end of October I will be done, I even wrapped gifts as I bought them
Nah your not crazy it’s helpful to shop early. I love to start in October. 😊 the perk to that the kids aren’t keen to it yet and I can sneak the gifts easier! Haha😊

It's Saturday and I slept in longer than usual...I woke up and looked at the clock and thought....Oh No.....I'm late for Hilary's vlog!!!! lol
I’m sure you do this but when I descale the Keurig or coffee pot I “pair the task” with cleaning the drains of the kitchen sink and other sinks. Baking Soda and hot Vinegar that just went through the Keurig makes for an amazing cleaner for those sometimes icky kitchen sink drains ☺️ (we usually descale at night- run two large cycles and leave on and rinse in the am with water cycles)😎

I agree I look for Christmas gifts all year if I see something someone would love I buy it and store it in a tote just for gifts.

Thank you for reminding me to buy our Nutcracker tickets! They sell out so quickly for us. I also started a tradition to buy our daughter a nutcracker each year. I believe she has 20 now 💗
I now only buy Christmas presents for my grandkids, no stress shopping for me.
Oh my goodness a snake! Here in Australia all our snakes can kill us so that is my biggest fear! How you stayed so calm I have no idea!

Try “wet and forget” for tub and shower. Follow the directions. You will love it. I get mine from Amazon, but you can sometimes find it at Lowes 👍🏻
PS. I always have all my shopping, wrapping done by Thanksgiving.
My guess is, Walmart didn’t have enough workers. I live in western North Carolina, this is normal here. McDonald’s, Dollar stores, anyone …. Lots close at 4 and 5 because no one will work. Or they just stay closed. Even our Drs. offices are down to 4 days now. One of our main Walgreens had to shut its doors because they didn’t have a pharmacist. It’s common here. If you order curbside at Walmart here, you can’t pick your order up till next day or two. Regardless of how early you put the order in. That, and we don’t have food products available. Yeah…it’s crazy.

Hillary you might pick up a jar of nescafe clasico instant coffee. It's a dark roast and I use it for those emergency times like you had when I need a coffee. It's quite good and with a little bit of cream and vanilla and cinnamon I think you would find it a good substitute! I just ordered your book and can't wait to get it I know we'll have a happier Christmas because I'll be more organized
I have already bought (a ridiculously expensive) stocking holder from Anthropologie, I saw it and thought it just might work for our fireplace/mantle which has no wood and is topped with an ugly uneven slab of slate. I'm thrilled because it actually does work perfectly and after 11 years of trying to figure out a solution, I found one!! I also ordered Sugar Paper wrapping paper because our Target doesn't carry it locally and it sells out fast. I do get Dollar Tree paper usually, but last year I wasn't a fan of the changed prints. I enjoy wrapping so it was sort of a treat, but it's out of the way now :)

Glad you went back for the tissue. I've left behind, and truly $$out of the pocket when things aren't retrieved. I know...want to kick ourselves, but you had two very active little guys with you, easy to do! A good thing to educate kids about is snakes. Most are safe, but even in New Jersey there are some to avoid. You have such a sweet family. Blessings!

Get it now before it's all picked over. Plus it gets cold where you are so you can stay home and watch Christmas movies instead of last minute shopping. Here in Texas we shop in December wearing shorts and flip flops.
Thankfully we still have cashiers at Walmart and they bag everything. Thanks so much for the videos everyday but I kinda miss the music from previous years of vlogtober. 😂
I would love to hear your suggestions for Christmas gifts for children! My grandchildren are ages similar to your children’s ages. I understand banana breaks, my 3 year old grandson visited last weekend and he ate 4 bananas over the course of the day!

Sunshine after a few days of rain...especially a fall one, is absolutely the BEST, and I miss those lovely NJ falls..( I am a NJ girl living in FL for the last 14yrs )

Did youcall the store to see if the toilette paper was left at cash or turned in from your cart? At stores in my area they can pull up receipt with the card that was used to pay.

I think your rain has came our way now 😢. I love the sunshine so will enjoy it when it’s back. I was thinking maybe you could have picked up the pumpkins when you went back for your toilet paper. What are your thoughts, so far, for Christmas items? I a, almost done already 😊. I am a Nana and have decided not to buy as much as I used to (I bought about 12 presents each and filled a stocking each, it was crazy) but this year I’m thinking a couple presents to unwrap and money 😅.
Thanks for the kaboom recommendation. I bought scrubbing bubbles last week and it is such a strong smell. Can’t tolerate it.

How do you keep cinnamon from collecting at the bottom of the mug.... mine just doesn't mix in. Also I always liked being done early with Christmas shopping, but the only one who I seem to be able to do that now is my daughter in law. Girls are easy. But I have a grown son with 2 grandsons... 28 and 18 and none of them ever know what they want!!! The older they get , the harder it is. I do get gift cards and gas cards but I like to have a gift under the tree. Also I love baked potatoes with chili on top with onions, cheese , sour cream and chives.. yummmm A complete meal!
A delicious meal for sure! My cinnamon does settle but I just drink the last bit slowly. I’ve heard you can also add cinnamon to the grinds as it brews
Let me know when to do the 8 12 hold down on the Keurig. I descaled quite a while ago (with the kit from Amazon), but the light never shut off. Help! Have to try your biscuit recipe because we never finish the Pillsbury ones before they get hard as a rock. Thanks, Hilary!
