I’d say similarly to gouache paint. It’s a thinner consistency than acrylic but has the coverage. And it depends on where you live. Dry climates always dry faster so I can’t put a time on it cuz I’m in the PNW and it’s a bit wetter haha.
So, you've replaced acrylic paints, and only use the tinted gesso? Gesso is usually used to prime a surface prior to painting, I thought. Interesting exploration.
