I've just had the very same issues with my Td5 110.. original Lucas switch died, so I bought a "genuine" lucas one off ebay.... was white coloured like your cheapo ones on here. first one I managed to muller up trying to get the spring clip in place, my fault. So ordered another, and it didn't work.... wipers just kept going all the time. Took the switch off, metered it out; the N/O terminals only closed if the pin was pushed right in (something the cam on the gear could never reach), and the N/C contacts never made contact! cheap cr@p! I emailed the company who offered an immediate refund. I managed to build one switch out of the broken parts and refit the genuine Lucas one (albiet with an aftermarked central springy contact.... hope it works long term!)
Great videos on here, love them.

So today I discovered that the little white cam on the gear can wear and break.. This was after replacing the stalk switch and park switch (got two park switches, as I thought the new one I had was a dud!). Decided to have another look at it this afternoon, and found loose bits of the cam inside the housing... Hopefully LR Cape Town won't sting me too much for it!

My landriver freelander wipers don’t park properly they park higher than they should not very high but they have failed it on the mot I’m told it’s a fuse box problem the new number of the part is LR068821 the old number is LR052671 we can’t get one even from LR themselves is this correct or is it a switch problem. Thanks Dave L

Can you not take off the wipers and move them on the shaft a little lower?

@@BritannicaRestorations hi tried that they just go below the windscreen and come back to the same place so I will have to put them back in position if I can thanks for replying
