    In my opinion the pitch shifter, that is in the plugin makes things sound boomy and it od "choking" the singnal of your guitar. The pedal itself offers more clarity to the tone

    • @MilesDoesMusic
      @MilesDoesMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s processing the change in pitch differently and I think the noise gate in the plug-in plays a role as well, but overall it’s definitely a different sound

    • @MilesDoesMusic
      @MilesDoesMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man!
      So basically from what I understand (because I reached out to Digitech about this very concept) you can’t use the whammy as a midi controller; it’s input is only for midi information going an external controller. So that’s annoying but, there’s a series of different options available for that very purpose on the market

    • @CeyhanCaglar

    • @MilesDoesMusic
      @MilesDoesMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t see why not - what seems to be the deal to me is that if you’re going into it already tuned lower, that’s gonna help maintain the sound you’re looking for once you pitch down. Trying to go from standard to like tuning for a 9 string isn’t going to sound good but yeah, try it and see!

    • @MilesDoesMusic
      @MilesDoesMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, there will be some loss in a couple areas when pitching down drastically, mostly because the string is still vibrating and being “attacked” the same way so the dynamics aren’t being altered in anyway, just the pitch.

    The whammy sounds too digital to use for shifting tunings. For doing Tom morello its fine, but I’d try another pedal for tuning changes

    • @MilesDoesMusic
      @MilesDoesMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It all depends on the context of what you’re trying to do. I use the whammy with my band when I have songs that are tuned lower normally and it does just fine but I’m also not going lower than is realistic for maintaining the general tonality of the guitar. The Digitech Drop is great also, but the same principle applies. It’s the same with the Gojira pedal as well. If you’re trying to go from standard tuning to like A standard it’s gonna sound a little weird, but some like that sound.

    how do you shifting tune with wow pedall?

    • @MilesDoesMusic
      @MilesDoesMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You have 3 options as far as changing the pitch in the wow pedal - there’s the 2 options for going up in pitch, and then there’s the 3rd setting which you have control over the wet/dry mix and you would set to 100% wet in order to completely change your original pitch.
