    Bhai, in couple polygon, you took 'A' at the starting point of c' and 'D' at the end point of c'. Why? Can't we do otherwise?

    Four masses A,BC,D are completely balanced.masses C and D makes angles of 90 and 195 respectively with B in the same sense.The rotating masses have following properties:
    Mb:=25kg,Mc:=40kg,Md:=35kg
    ra=150mm,rb=200mm,rc=100mm,rd=180mm
    planes B and C are 250 mm apart .determine: (1) The mass A and its angular position.(2) The position of planes A and D.

    A shaft carries four masses A,B,C,D of magnitude 200, 300, 400, 200 kgs respectively and eccentricity of 80, 70, 60, 80mm in planes measured from A at 300, 400, 700 mm. Angles between cranks measured anticlockwise are A to B is 450 , B to C is 700 , C to D is 1200 . Balancing masses are to be placed in X and Y. Distance between A-X=100mm ,X-Y=400mm and Y-D=200mm. If balancing masses revolve at E=100mm, find their magnitude and angular position by graphical approach.

    I practice but not getting same mass and angle as you or book so how much change in angle & mass allowed in exam ?

      For angle, the variation of 5 to 10 degrees is ok...
      And for the value of mass, the variation can't be said properly, because it depends on different types of Numericals.
      But don't wry brother, you should complete whole Numerical, you will definitely get marks for method, force polygon, couple polygon, filling the table, etc...

    A four wheel cylinder oil engine is in complete primary balance. The arrangement of reciprocating masses in different planes is as follows. Distance between A,B,C&D is 1.3m , 2.8m,1.3m in order from left to right. Masses being 380kg , 2m kg , 590 kg & 480 kg respectively. Assume C as horizontal . Determine the reciprocating mass of cylinder B & relative crank position. The stroke of each piston piston is ‘2r’ mm.
    How to solve this sir?

      This is a numerical in which angles are not given.

      You have to do somewhat similar like this but few things are different like radius is not given here so take radius as "r" bcz stroke length is given "2r". Also you have to take mass C in horizontal direction.
      Here all the forces & couples will be in terms of "r" but don't worry, finally "r" will get cancelled while finding unknown mass from the resultant of force polygon

      Anubhav, the closing side of force polygon indicates the resultant unbalance force in that direction (skip this video at 12:34 minutes, here od indicates the closing side means od is a resultant unbalance force).
      Now we have to provide the Balancing mass in the opposite direction of resultant unbalance force, so that we can balance the system and so we have to provide unbalance mass in do direction...
      That's why we have to draw the mass "a" in downward direction and not upward direction.

    in which direction we have to draw lines .like while drwawing CD in force polygon ,you draw it inward .you can also draw it upward ..why didnot you ????

      We have to draw according to the space diagram (or according to the angular position of masses). In space diagram, mass b is towards right side so we have to draw OB on right side,mass c is in upward direction so we have to draw BC in upward direction. Simillarly mass d is in downward direction so we have to draw CD in downward direction.

      We suggest you to prefer graphical method for these types of sums as it reduces the calculation work and it is short compared to analytical method. There will be chances of human errors while doing calculation on calculator... So comparatively you will get correct ans. by doing graphical method only.

    1.2, 1.08 to in dono main se konsi value non zero hai

      Hume minimum non zero value ko 1cm Lena hai, minimum non zero Matlab minimum to honi chahiye lekin zero nahi honi chahiye.
      Now think from your given values, 1.2 and 1.08
      In dono me se konsi value minimum Hain lekin zero nahi Hain?
      Obviously it is 1.08, so you have to take 1cm = 1.08 kg m²
      Let's take other example, suppose you have four values, say 25, 30, -10 and 0.
      Ab in values me se konsi value minimum Hain lekin zero nahi Hai???
      The answers is "-10"....so we have to take 1cm = 10 kgm²

      Dont worry brother...In that case, the whole procedure is same only.
      In general Numericals without firing order...we just draw the polygons in the order 1-2-3-4
      But when firing order is given like 1-3-4-2, then you have to draw the polygon in 1-3-4-2 order.

      In such case, you will have one of the value of couple in terms of x. So first of all you have to draw the couple polygon. Now from the resultant of couple polygon, you will get the value of x.
