I have SO MANY first books in series as well. My tbr is out of control. I love the Cupcake Bakery Mystery series by Jenn McKinlay but I can understand if you already have a favorite bakery series being wary of trying a new one.
Omg I got into cozy mysteries because of the Stephanie Blackmoore series! They're sooo cozy and no anxiety and I love the pets in them. Do you have any recommendations for ones that have pets who don't get harmed in the book? So far I only know of the Stephanie Blackmoore series books.
The Paws and Claws series by Krista Davis. It's set around an Inn that people can bring their animals on vacation with them. The first book is called Murder, she barked. The Dr. Kate vet mysteries by Eileen Brady. First book in that is set around Christmas and called Saddled with murder. The mountain lodge series by Diane Kelly. First book is called Getaway with murder. All of these have adorable animals (none get hurt) and I really enjoyed them.
Very nice collection! 💜 You have a lot of cozies I haven't read yet and sound interesting. I've been thinking about starting the Hannah Swensen series but I'm a series binger so 30 books is daunting to me. I do enjoy the Hannah Swensen movies on Hallmark. Covers of cozies get me every time! I read the Cranberry Cove series, Bookmobile Cat series (I love cat and library cozies), A Bad Luck Cat series, and A Noodle Shop series and they are amongst my favorite series. I enjoy them all!
I love how organized your cozies are. How can I find a spread sheet like you did? I do have a lot in the 2 series that you started with that are yours (I love them both, still trying to finish both of these 2 series) But I did wonder if you had tried and of the Crafting Cozy Mystery books before? Crocheting/Knitting/ect.......? Thank you for sharing these, and can't wait for your next Mystery book video
@@7peacefrog I just went into Excel and created the spreadsheet. I’m definitely a pro with that program so it’s just simple. 😊 I haven’t tried any crafting cozies. Do you have any that you recommend?
Darn you! I don't need anymore book ideas for my TBR list and darn near every book you flashed on the screen just went on that growing list. I have only read one book out of all the ones you showed, and that was Death by Dumpling by Vivien Chien. I have read cozy mysteries written by Jenn McKinlay but not the ones you mentioned. I read her Library Lover's Mystery series and loved every book! I really love cozy mystery series. My favorite books to read now, but I used to love the old Gothic Suspense/Romance books written in the 60's and 70's. I own hundreds of those old paperbacks and my wife is begging me to get rid of them but I just can't. I have a spread sheet that I made of them so that while out on an old book buying trip I don't buy another book that I already own. I just found your channel and loved this video so I subscribed just now. I love your quick short opinions and comments you make while making this one. Like how if you don't care for a name of a character then it carries over to your opinion of the book. Or how you love a recipe in a cozy mystery book. And since you like a recipe in a book and you asked for suggestions, the I highly recommend the Fresh-Baked Mystery Series written by Livia J. Washburn. There were 15 books in that series and I really loved them. They were retired school teachers that all lived together and entered cooking contests. Lots of baking. I also prefer older characters probably since I myself am 68 years old.
Welcome! So glad you're here. I always have to take my list with me if I'm book shopping, so I don't buy duplicates. Learned my lesson on that! 😆 I am definitely going to check out the Fresh-Baked mystery series. It sounds fun!😊
I can't help but think of the Bakeshop Mysteries by Ellie Alexander when I see your name. Her main character's name is Jules too. :) You have a wonderful collection!
Hey Jules! just found you and subscribed after your comment on my would you rather tag: cozy mystery edition! Always soooo excited to find other cozy mystery lovers! Hannah Swensen was the first cozy series I read! read the first pizza mystery...loved it! I love the undercover dish series...really I like all of Julia Buckley's series (including her dinner/murder mystery series as Veronica Bond). the cupcake bakery series is soo good! Jenn McKinlay does a great job getting you invested in all the side characters!! Her library lovers series is also very good! If you are participating in March Mystery Madness the wedding series would be perfect for the first prompt of dress to the nines! such a great video! can't wait to see more!
the fact you are so dedicated you have spread sheets for the books you’ve read and haven’t is amazing. I could never, but loving these videos!!!
If I didn’t have a list I would probably end up buying multiples of the same books! 🤪😆
I loveeeee the covers on Cozy’s !!!
Yes! They’re so fun! 😍

I’m definitely going to try them out. Who knows, maybe I’ll have two favorite bake shop cozies series. 😆
You already know I am here for all the cozies! 😍
Yes ma’am! 👏☺️
Read the Fudge Shop Mystery set on Macanac Island. It is good.
A bad luck cat mystery has me intrigued. The 90s kid in me also loves that it’s a back cat mystery with a MC named Sabrina. 😂
Haha I mean it did immediately make me think of that! 😉😂
@@Julesbooksandthings even the mention of her Aunt is a parallel 😂. Our favorite teenaged witch was raised by her aunts.
I just recently found your channel I’m so excited I love cozies and book videos! I have lymphoma so this is my escape
I’m so glad you found me! I’m sorry to hear about your illness. I’m glad books can give you an outlet. ❤️

Of course! I love that for you. ☺️

Bee-shawn is the dog breed! I have several of these titles on my shelf - my problem is too many cozies not enough time!
lol thanks! I was on the struggle bus with that one! Luckily, cozies are pretty quick reads.

Yes! I also love baking so it's a perfect match! I have the first book in that series and will be picking it up soon.
