I gave the first book in the Bookmobile Cat series 3 stars and it was just ok for me too. I gave the second book a try and the rest of the series have been 5 stars for me. One of the killer reveals in this series had me shocked and almost running off the road in my car. Needless to say, I don't listen to audiobooks in the car anymore. After this experience, if I like the themes of the series (cat and library are two my favorite themes) I almost always try the second book in a series that I give 3 stars. I've found that some of the first books are the weakest in the series. The newest book in the series comes out at the beginning of August and I can't wait! I have a Crumbl Cookie in my town but I'm not really impressed with them overall. I rather eat a cookie I bake on my own. I've tried a few Ellery Adams series (Charmed Pies and Secret Book and Scone) but ended up DNFing them. I think her writing style just isn't for me. I can't wait to see your Christmas Cozy Vlog!

I read the first Lobster one a while ago. That's the only author of these three that I don't have access to through Hoopla. Disappointing that the best one is the one that's not available! Thanks for your reviews! There are a lot of "just ok" cozies out there.

I’m surprised you haven’t read any Agatha Christie. You’d probably like her. Try her Mrs.marple series. I hear that’s the most like cozy mystery

Yeah I feel like thrillers are such a one time deal for me. The majority of the fun is experiencing the reveals and when you’ve done that, there’s not a lot of re-readability!

I'm glad you enjoyed the Beacon Bake shop series! It's a favorite of mine too. Who doesn't love Welly? Plus, the main character living in a lighthouse is so fun. I want to try the Libby Klein series but I'm afraid I won't like the humor. Sometimes humor in cozies doesn't land for me. In June, I read the Lighthouse Library series by Eva Gates and two cozies in favorite series Requiem for a Mouse by Miranda James (Diesel the cat is so precious) and Murder at the Rusty Anchor by Maddie Day (Belle the African Grey Parrot is so fun and has made me seek out talking birds in cozies). I love how organized your cozies are. How can I find a spread sheet like you did? I do have a lot in the 2 series that you started with that are yours (I love them both, still trying to finish both of these 2 series) But I did wonder if you had tried and of the Crafting Cozy Mystery books before?
