The most beautiful piece of music in the world!

The first time I heard this piece of music was in Music Appreciation Class in college in 1989 and it the only piece that has stayed with me and in my heart since first hearing it. It literally touches my soul. The beauty actually brings me tears. I never learned to play the violin but have always loved it and wished I had. Amazing performance!!

I agree it's a very emotional piece . Sad , yet happy as well.

This is the greatest piece of music I have ever heard. Well played by these fine musicians. I imagine that at the time of my death as my soul leaves my body it would make the sound of this piece from 8:13 to the end.

I am in AWE of Alexander Borodin: He probably deserved the Nobel Prize (if it had existed when he was alive) for his research in organic chemistry. Yet, he also was equally adept as a creative musician. If you are looking for a person to idolize, you can look no further than Alexander Borodin. He was even a nice person and did his best to expand the rights of women in science.

So well played. It goes deep into the soul. I have a playlist that has only this by different people. When I pass on I will take it with me.

Nós brasileiros em todas! Esse noturno ficava tocando como música ambiente em um shopping em Tel Aviv. Muitos anos atrás....

Wherefore we, being inflamed by daily exercises of this kind, and yet not seeming to gain from them any strength or stability, are, in despair, driven to this opinion: that it is from no fault of our own but from a fault in our nature that these wanderings of the mind are found in mankind.

But how can this be attained? It will come by itself when we unite with God with such utmost sincerity that he will act in us. Nothing that we may undertake with the object of conquering our thoughts can succeed unless God himself begins to act, having united with us. Then even our feeble means will become powerful and all-conquering. They will demolish the enemy's strongholds and will strike down and banish all thoughts.
