I don’t know why I feel compelled to say this….. somehow I just feel like Miranda needs to hear that she’s doing a great job and she doesn’t have to please anybody, so whatever she is/was searching for…. She deserves it hands down. Keep up the awesome work MGO Team! ❤
This Hallmark movie writes itself. Big city TH-cam celebrity, Miranda moves to a tiny mountain town to further her career, But things don't go as expected when she finds love & realizes that that is what she was really seeking all along. 😄
Miranda, while we all love regular content, please make sure to not burn yourself out if it starts coming to that. I know a lot of content creators that started out weekly have moved to ever other week, just because the work churn got to be too much. I'm excited to see what you do this year! Just take care of you first. :D
Miranda will likely respond but I just wanted to say I really appreciate this comment. Thank you! Burn out is a big thing on TH-cam. Miranda and I are very focused on not burning out this year. We will definitely take some Sundays off here and there, and some edits will take longer too and we’ll always take the extra time to make sure a video is right, but even so we think we can deliver weekly content most of the year.
Ok sweetie, I don´t know if you will see this but: so many serendipity moments; just binging around your videos, in the same life situation as you, into hiking, thinking of moving, and I see the main Street of Leavenworth which reminded me of my favourite show from my childhood "Northern Exposure", I google the street, it is Roslyn Washington, which absolutely blew my mind, almost near haha. And, my heart melted even further by discovering and seeing Leavenworth! How fairytale cute the town is! Keep your spirits high, you made an excellent decision! Greetings from Germany 💞
Miranda! I’m so happy for you. Rainer’s goofy dance cracked me up! Thank you for lending your voice to TH-cam. The way you share the outdoors and the honest way you share your struggles help me and so many more feel less alone. Keep bringing your authentic self and know you are appreciated. ❤
I knew before you even said it "Hey, that's Leavenworth!" As a nearby Wenatchee-ite who spends as much time hiking and camping around Leavenworth as possible, I hope to see you on the trail someday! Happy hiking and welcome to the sunny side of the mountains :)
Yay Leavenworth! You gotta get some of that WhistlePunk Icecream 😋 Also, I’d love to see a Miranda does Trail Maintenance video. Maybe partner with WTA and let us know what we can do to help/get involved. Looking forward to your adventures!
I love involving the crew. The interactions among your friends is fun especially for traveling and exploring. I think there is also a time for solo video when diving into deep thoughts and experiences
Miranda, I'm so happy for you! My dad used to live around Lake Chelan, not too far from where you are. He ended up living in Vancouver, worked across the river in Portland, and then moved to the SF Bay Area to be closer to us kids. He lasted three years before he had to move. I quote "you guys live about 10 years an hour faster than I can stand". He ended up meeting his third wife and they moved to Rapid City, SD where they actually lived happily ever after until he died at age 83. I think the slower pace of a small town and the ability to get into the woods whenever you like is going to be great for you. Thanks for introducing us to your new town! Sounds like a place I'd like to visit!
I’m hiking the PCT this year and will be stopping in Leavenworth for a zero or two because my aunt and uncle live along the icicle river. I love the town! It’s definitely one of my bucket list places to live. Kudos to you! Enjoy!
Oh my gosh!! Congrats on your upcoming hike, and enjoy your zeros in Leavenworth! It's a perfect spot to recover, do some laundry, eat some food, and soak in the views.
Thanks, @@MirandaGoesOutside! I'm part excited, part freaking the heck out! LOL... I just keep reminding myself "it's just walking, man. It's just walking."
As a native east coaster I saw Leavenworth on my first trip to the PNW back in 2007. I live in Houston now and go backpacking with my college buddies who live up there now every summer. It's a huge spirtual and mental reset for me being in the mountains. You're videos help me get through the non summer months living in flat land Houston. Thank you to you and the team for all that you guys do spreading joy.
Yes! More crew shenanigans! Weekly videos: sure, if you can do it without burning out. Super stoked for longer trip videos. Can't wait to watch you guys this year! Cheers!
So happy for you!! As someone who grew up in a very small town, you're gonna love it!! I'm on a acreage now and love being able to go out the back door for a hike whenever I feel like it. I couldn't handle the city again!
After being in the Army, I couldn't move to a place called Leavenworth. There is a place called "Fort Leavenworth" that keeps maximum security prisoners (specifically former soldiers). Even though where you're at and Ft. Leavenworth are in different states, I couldn't do it.
We moved there as well! Love the outdoors and away from the city. If you ever want to test out some gear, just let us know as we may have it. I’m always cycling or running around the Pine St/Titus block.
@@angelinabowen6251awesome! It’s been great, and can’t wait for the summer season. If you saw someone fall off their bike a few times last week going down from the Lev. ski, that was me.
If I didn't move to Missoula, Montana, Leavenworth would've been VERY high on my list of places to move to. I've always wanted to live in Leavenworth. Fun Fact: The Icicle Ridge Trail is where my best friend talked me into joining her for our first Grand Canyon Rim to Rim hike back in 2016. It was then in the canyon later that year where I got inspired to start planning my first PCT thru-hike. Thank you for taking me down memory lane. I got all the feels from this one.
Get ready for TH-cam superstardom! You and your crew are so fun to watch. The improv drama is hysterical. Keeping it light is the way to approach hiking. Love your doggy too. 🥹
AS someone who lives in France and travels to the alps every year I find this town quiet funny and whimsical. I didn't know something like this existed and the views of the mountains are incredible, maybe I'll go see it one day! And I've wanted to move to the alps for ages so maybe this video will inspire me to, because I feel the same way you do living in a big city and longing for nature
Leavenworth is an nice tourist town. I had friends who lived there for many years. I worked on several forest fires in the area in 1970's. I later moved to Okanogan after graduating from college. Now I live in the Central Oregon Cascades west of Bend Oregon. Our cabin is located were everyone comes to play.
The past few weeks I have been wondering if you moved to Leavenworth because I recognized it, congrats! I camped along Icicle Creek for three months in 2013 and it kinda changed my life... since then I have always wanted to revisit the area, especially since I now live a (long) day drive away. I hope it's as special a place for you as it is for me.
It is such an incredibly special place to me, for a ton of reasons, and I'm super jazzed to live here now! I hope you get a chance to visit again ❤️ it never loses it's charm.
You picked a wonderful part of the state to live, I have lived in Chelan for 48 years. Don't forget to check out the scablands, many awesome places hidden in this unique stark scenery.
