That touchdown by Tracy Porter was his first since Super Bowl XLIV, when he intercepted Peyton Manning. Enemies back in 2009. In 2012, they were on the same team.
I was born and raised in Steeler country, but I've been a Broncos fan since 1986. It was great seeing some of my all-time favorite Steelers and Broncos players on the field again. I wasn't prepared tho when I burst into tears seeing DT #88. What a great guy on and off the field. Rip Demaryius Thomas
I love the broncos and Peyton Manning he made me fall in love with football also I remember a memory where my friends said I couldn’t watch my broncos play because of WiFi problems the broncons are my 2nd favorite team respect from a browns fan
Manning's first 3 years in Denver was easily the best 3-year stretch of his career and arguably the best ever by a QB (at least from a statistical standpoint). 38-10 QB record, 67.7% completion percentage, 14,863 passing yards, 131 passing TDs, and 36 interceptions (that's an average of 4,954 yards, 44 TDs and 12 INTs per season). Other than his last year, he was truly special.
But going 2-3 in the playoffs those 3 seasons made it all kind of worthless, no? Manning was probably the best regular season QB ever but he folded so many times in the postseason against the better defenses.
@@MichaelMurphy-kj3xf he put up 35 vs the Ravens and his defense let him down. Yeah he folded vs Hawks and Colts but nothing is worthless. Playing well and winning games is memorable and valuable. Never understood the idea of only remembering one team as the champion and everyone else is worthless.
14:03. I am a fan of both players and I have to admit, that is one of the best counter moves to a stiff arm I have ever seen. Not many people tried to stiff arm Troy after that. Thankfully DT was not hurt.
I remember in the car on my way to school when I was listening to the sports radio in Denver when the news broke that we signed Peyton and my dad and I sat there for an hour in rejoicing that he came. It was like when Brady joins Tampa it was perfect. We had the defense, the weapons we just needed the guy and that guy doesn't get much better than Peyton fucking Manning. So when this game rolled around I was SO HYPE to see what we would get and form that day forth what I would get to watch every Sunday was a masterclass on how to play quarterback and someone who had mastered the position to the highest degree, winning over 12 games every year making the Superbowl 2 times in 4 years, one of if not the best offenses of all time in 2013 as well, so yea thank you NFL Throwback for allowing me to relive this day where my brain said "Oh shit, this is about to be one helluva 4 year stretch".
Yeah...as a Colts fan, when PFM was our QB, every year I expected us to go to the SB. The 2005 team was the best PFM Colts team and lost in the playoffs, not because of PFM. Never wanted to cut him for Andrew Luck.

Tom Moore, the Offensive Coordinator for the Colts when Manning was there (has been with Tom Brady for a few years now), was asked by a reporter once: "Why does Peyton take all the reps in practice?" Tom Moore looked at him like he was a giant idiot and said "If 18 goes down, we're f*cked." Peyton carried that Colts team.

This was a rematch of the playoff game in Denver year before the Tebow miracle. But it didn't feel that way with Tebow gone and Peyfon playing his first game with Broncos.
I know this is a video dedicated to Peyton Manning but there are a good few people in this video who are either retired or on the verge of it, Sanders, Demaryius Thomas, AB, Stokley, and Eric Decker, Troy Polumalu, it just blows my mind to hear all those names again
The WR’s the Steelers have had the last 15 years are just incredible. Few of em’ turned out to have their own downfalls (AB, Martaivus Bryant & TikTok Juju) but still doesn’t deny the talent Pittsburgh has had at the position for more than a decade now. Didn’t hurt having #7 @ QB either 🖤💛
What a nice early morning treat. I tell ya, If Elway hadn't gotten Manning to go to Denver than his (Elway's) reputation would've gone to the dogs far quickly. He did alright in finding talent everywhere else on the field but in terms of finding a QB? Well, that was Elway's biggest blind spot.
Don't let Peyton Manning distract you from the fact that the Broncos had just eliminated the Steelers from the playoffs the season before with Tim Tebow at QB.

With all due respect to GOAT Tom Brady, but Peyton Manning at his peak was simply the smartest, most skilled, and innovative quarterback I’ve ever watched play the game. Didn’t have TB12’s ice cold veins in Super Bowls, but nobody since Johnny Unitas did more to evolve the Quarterback position than #18. If only his neck held out a little longer, we could’ve seen him and Mahomes go head to head.
