As a kid i used to watch these movies made by Steve Odekerk that were spoofs of known movies using faces on thumbs. Such classics as Thumb Wars, Thumbtanic, and Bat-thumb. John Smith looks exactly like these movies and I love it
Andy re-reading a book is super similar to re-watching a movie. Sure you "read all the words" but there are still things you miss or don't contextualize the same way. I think it's the most powerful when you read something at different point in your life. Like reading a book you read in high school vs in your 30s or something.

Mario sunshine is still a very close second for me behind M64, as far as the controls go, it did not utilize analog input for water pressure, what it was is the trigger on the gamecube controller had 2 modes, the trigger pull and the trigger click, so you pull the trigger to shoot water but if you pull it all the way to click it will lock mario in place and give you a 3rd person view so you can aim, the switch has one more shoulder button than the gamecube controller so theres no reason that lock down function couldnt be moved to the LZ button, sort of like z targeting in zelda and that way they can have the motion controls kick in for aiming.
