Lol. I see I wasnt the only one sitting here saying "Whoa! Abalone shells!" And that was such a sweet touch at the end, showing yall and Willow, and the largemouth bass, and the sunset. Julian and Kayla, thanks for a great video, as always.
My husband was an abalone diver (legal) in NorCal. I wasn’t an eBay seller then but let me tell you the regret I have right now😂 Of course I saved several for myself for around the house but DANG we could have had abalone feasts AND made a ton of money!!
@@beardedthriftmachine I’m sure there must be videos out there of abalone diving but it’s actually very dangerous and I’m just glad he doesn’t do it anymore. PS the only way to eat it is to tenderize the snot out of it lol
My dad was a Abalone diver when I was growing up. We lived in California. I have a bunch of shells around the house. People use them for jewelry and such. It's pronounced Ab- a- lone- ee
Great shells for sure! Wonderful old items. Thanks for taking us along 😀 When my husband was alive he took me to Tennessee, I had a blast 💥 we had tickets for a show. It was so much fun I grew up watching them on TV with my mom. Then we found a recording studio and I made my first CD I Fall to Pieces by Patsy Cline my mother use to sing it. I had so much fun. Have a great time with all that you do! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Can I just say you both are not only the cutest reselling couple, but the cutest couple overall! ❤😊 You always know what to pick up for a profit 💵💰and educate and inspire us resellers.. thanks for another awesome video! 🙏🥰
I live in southern middle Tennessee in Columbia we are called mule town have a big mule day parade and everything 😊 Lots of flea markets and yard sales that weekend ❤ Tennessee is beautiful hope y'all enjoy our state ❣️❣️ Awesome video 😊
This was great video! Loved those shells with the mother of Pearl in them! So happy you went back and got those! Your sweet dog Willow is precious! Stay safe!
Nice video. The slide-on camper made me nostalgic for my childhood. We had one and a big blue F250, and went on many trips to visit relatives and friends, parks...you could park anywhere and stay a night. I'd crawl through from the truck to the camper and sleep or read up top. Great memories.
My friends did diving for us for the meat. Awesome dinner once cleaning the black on the skin and egg and panko covering and lightly fried. Omg❣️abalone is very expensive by the pound.☮️🐾🐾
What a wonderful place to stay …loved the Bass at the end. Great finds at this sale route…you do need that camper just think of all the stuff it would hold🥰
That’s funny you get excited over your pick up and camper. That’s how we do it. We’ve been doing it that way for about 10 years. Before that it was all tent. We have a 2022 Lance camper 1172 on a Dooley ram, 3500.
Well again I watched your video again yeah you'll just crack me up I love to watch it and I'm so glad you released that bass Thank you so much for your hilarious videos God bless you and stay safe
I have shells all over my house and a tote in my barn. Most of mine I picked up on the beach in Myrtle Beach. I still would have bought that bucket and found some place to put them . Thanks for sharing.
I have a love for mason jars, too. I went to a local auction last year that was run by a family friend auctioneer. There were somewhere around 1000 jars, and I thought the prices were insane! There were several that sold for over $400.00, and a few that were over $500.00! There are price guide books for all the brands, styles, and values, and new ones come out every year. I really want one of the books, but the last time I checked, the newest edition was almost $200.00. I can't justify spending that for my own collection. You guys rock, and I thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience!
wow!! the book is $200! ill have to look into that but that is expensive - but it would be cool to know the good mason jars - we see them alot thanks so much for watching!
We MUST listen to the cows! Glad you got the sticker ;) Where do I get the orange cap for the front of the cap guns? I'm on the coast, I see those shells all the time. DAMN!
i think you might be able to buy them on amazon - they werent my solds - i actually keep all the old metal cap guns i find =) i have 6 now from yard sales and goodwills
* I think the camper has to stay on the truck for days.. I don't think you can pull it off each night when you are traveling.. Those shells are AWESOME.. When you buy that many, Kayla can keep 1 or 2.. Cool..
Where in TN. We’re y’all? I’m still in shock that someone really put those crazy prices on cast iron! If you ever come back to TN. We have lots of good yard sales in the Clarksville area. They start up really good in April.
Fun video! Did some of those people think they were a department store? I grew up bass fishing. If you want some fun try a fly rod with a Peck’s Popper. That’s a fight you’ll remember!
have a google for paua [pronounced pa-wa] shells. they are smaller, but the colors are amazing. likely the same species. i believe they are native to new zealand.
It's also common to use abalone shells for use with Sage for homes (clearing energy). Light the sage, put it out in the abalone shell and let it smolder wafting sage smoke, or even Palo Santo or tobacco leaves. I finally knew something before you did!
Loved those shells. You got a really good deal there. Good fir you guts on that. I also really am in love with Williow, what kind of dog is she may I ask
Lol those things are called jacks. You raise the camper pull the truck out lower the camper then you can go anywhere you want in the truck. That’s what we do we even take a boat to the lake all summer like that we set up our camper and then we have the truck to launch the boat with. Plus if we go somewhere else which we do Vegas twice a year, we set the camper up, pull the pick up out and go about our business.
Hey guys... I've been following y'all for quite awhile now and I sincerely think that the idea of a pickup truck/camper would be phenomenal. Traveling all over toting an enclosed trailer behind would be key too. Maybe you could find a good truck then build your own spot in the back using just a cap instead of a camper... there's a lot of DIY vids on building those. Once you've gotten more established...send out a second team lol !!! I'll be the first to volunteer myself for that job lol. But you guys have been inspiring my wife and I to start looking into doing this type of business. Thanks and keep it up.
thank you so much! we are def looking at cheaper ideas then then expensive vans and stuff for traveling around and hitting all the big yard sales around the country
Sorry, laughing at the abalone shells as i have so many just lining my garden beds. Comes from family who used to abalone dive every year in Northern California at their summer vacation spot. It's a bit dangerous as you aren't allowed to use SCUBA, just snorkel gear, and if an abalone flattens itself to the rock and your finger is under it, just note that SOMETHING is going to have to be cut off before you drown.
Those look like Red Abalone shells from Northern California. They made it against the law to sell them a number of years ago, also they are endangered from these invasive non native sea urchins, so they have made it illegal to sport fish them.
Thanks so much for watching!!!
Yayyyyyyy another video! ( :
I love shells and abalone shells are one of my favs! ( : What a deal you got on them too! And, great fishing, Julian! Wowee! ( :
Truck camper would perfect for you guys and Willow! You could pull a little enclosed trailer for all your finds too.

Good call on the abalone shells.😀
😁
Little bit of wet sanding and you can get the inner area of those abalone shells shiny and beautiful. Nice deal!

we were surprised at the value of them
Yep, I was just about to comment the same thing 😆 they do well online.
I got a bracelet made from the inside when I was in Alaska years ago. I was sad that I only bought one!
