Saya sangat bangga sekali pada Janine yg sudah keliling indonesia dan menikmati ke indahan alamnya dan merasakan kuliner2 yg beraneka ragam dan adat istiadat dan budaya indonesia yg beraneka ragam,saya sendiri orang indonesia udah berusia 55 tahun 1 propinsipun belum semua kota2nya dapat di kunjungi,yg saya aneh biasanya turis eropa yg datang suka berjemur di pantai tapi nona Janine kena matahari pagi udah bilang panas padahal turis2 bule eropa suka berjemur karena di negaranya dingin tidak seperti indonesia 2 musim panas dan hujan.

Bali is the entry point to get to know Indonesia as a whole, its nature, culture and people. Maybe Bali is a little more comfortable for foreign tourists, because Bali is specially prepared as a tourism area. So you might need more adjustments for your next tourist destination outside Bali. But for the most part, the people you meet in Bali or Sumba, are almost the same as Indonesian people in general.
It seems you really like kids, I like the way you chat with them. You say they are so pure and I think you and they are so pure too. Please post pictures of you as a child on TH-cam, they must be very cute and adorable.

Janine, I forgot this one, a note for you: if you ask the name of someone who is older than you, include a title for their status in society, for example: "ibu" (Mom): "Siapa nama ibu?" or "Nama ibu siapa"; and for "bapak" (sir): "Siapa nama bapak?" or "Nama bapak siapa?". Use "Anda" for the same age or older: "Siapa nama anda?" or "Nama anda siapa?" This is typical Indonesian courtesy, or maybe Asia too. :)

Bersyukurlah bagi kita bangsa Indonesia,lahir,besar di bumi surga ini.Matahari bersinar dengan durasi yang sama antara pergantian siang dan malam.Alam yang subur makmur.Ingin makan apa saja tersedia.Buah tropis,buah subtropis ada,Sayuran tropis,sayuran sub tropis,sayuran yg biasa hidup di es pun ada di Indonesia.Semia tersedia.Tinggal bagaimana kita mengelolanya.
Di Indonesia, kalau sedang berbicara dgn yg lebih tua, jgn sebut "kamu". Tidak sopan. Kalau perempuan, bisa sebut Mbak, Kakak, atau Ibu. Kalau pria, bisa sebut, Mas, Abang, Bapak.
Orang lokal juga tau kalo bule kurang paham tentang tradisi paggilan di indo, jdi biasanya daerah yg bnyk touris udh terbiasa. Kecuali klo org indo ngomong "kamu " ke org tua bakal aneh
Jadi jangan disamaratakan lokal sama touris.
Orang tua akan memakluminya jika itu di lakukan turis
Ga usah protes, mereka juga ga paham

The plane was just executing TO/GA (takeoff/go around). It’s normal in aviation, usually if the pilot consider landing is not safe at the first attempt and need to go around to take second attempt to land.

You are so lucky to live in Indonesia. I would love to live there as well but I have to always return for my permanent/seasonal bush firefighting job. One good thing is that I work for 6-7 months then have the rest of time off. I had been traveling to Bali during my time off from New Years of 2012 until 2020. I haven’t been there since the pandemic and look forward to returning. I plan on returning next winter with my long time traveling friend from Hawaii. She is the one who got me to finally visit Bali. She had been visiting Bali since 2002.

I am glad to watch your video. I used to travel to both West and East Sumba (Waingapu n Waikabubak) and other places as well in NTT province. I used to fly from Jakarta- Denpasar-Kupang, then from Kupang to Sumba using Casa 212 propeller airplane smaller than ATR plane you are using. I think the condition is better than 20 years ago, i saw you staying at the cabin like hotel, it didn't exist when i visited sumba and only few foreign tourist visiting the island. Beside its beauty beaches, the best attraction in sumba is pasola and its tenun ikat. Thanks for sharing the video!
