    Very interesting situation there at the D/PL border. I remember a similar situation with trains from each country not connecting with eachother. I took a German local train from Worth to Lauterboug in France, only to see the SNCF disappear down the track back towards Strasbourg.

    Unfortunately, high German rates for access to railway infrastructure and fees for using German train units on the Polish section have led to the cessation of the direct connections between Dresden and Wrocław. The trains ran full, even in a double set. German private railway carriers who won the contract in this region are problematic, as they do not have the authorisation and trains to service in Poland. Not sure if Koleje Dolnoslaskie are planning to utilize their new hybrid trains for this service. If it's only until the next border station, they don't need testing in Germany, but deploying this train set for only a 2 km not electrified track is not wise. Nice film.

    Is this operated by Polregio or Koleje Dolnośląskie? Most of the voivodes in Poland have their own mini-train systems whose tickets are not honoured by Polregio or PKP. However, Polregio and the voivode-based systems do sometimes borrow rolling stock from each other.

    • @ok1359
      @ok1359 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is Polregio train. Tickets of both of operators are mutually honoured. Excluding some special-fare tickets. And most of regional operators in PL honours Polregio tickets..

    • @unmanned_system
      @unmanned_system 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Some "mini-train systems" tickets are honoured by polregio, for example all SKM Trójmiasto tickets are honoured by Polregio, PKM and obviously SKM Itself.

    "Only cross-border train between Poland and Germany"? I don't think so! there I think 4 trains a day between Warsaw and Berlin via Poznan for a start - I've done the trip the other way three of four times, starting from both London and Amsterdam (of course with changes). Or did you mean the only light raial/commuter service?
