Cemented my love for cars at the tender age of 8, over the years the Holden HQ has become my favorite. Americans love this movie, beautiful cars boys, thank you for the video Fletch, great work.
Interesting. I am a Canadian who lived in Victoria for a year (81-82). I went to school in Geelong. At the time, I had not yet seen MM, but we did see MM 2 when it came out (Mum wasn't impressed). I never realized until now that we, as a family, drove across that iconic bridge passing through Little River enroute to Melbourne.
My favourite car since I was a 8 when I sneaked into my neighbor's house and watched Mad Max behind my parents back I've seen it hundreds of times now and I still think it's cool 😎
I was inspired by Shelby and Miller to design the retro-mustang in '87. Left Ford in '92. Can you imagine my frustration? Even now, I can run IC on mostly water. I'll be long dead before anyone notices it works.
as a dinki di Aussie I'm the proudest I've ever been to hear that the stunt blokes drove the Pursuit Special into town to get some beers. We have lived in the age of kings
I was there at the 40th anniversary with my dad, he was in the film. It was a great event. I was at the premier party/piss up 40 years ago too. Mel had a few that night.
My sister went to Aussie in 1980 and came back to NZ with the Mad Max vhs tape which was promptly impounded by NZ customs as questionable material and was returned a year later ,we she got the tape home we played it and it was terrible quality to my sisters dismay and she checked the tape as she worked in a video rental and she saw the tape had been played hundreds if not thousands of times during its custody in the NZ Customs .Due to that movie I ened up buying a XC Gxl Fairmont with a 351 clevo and i was the MFP in my XC instead of a XB lol ,sadly it left the road and flew a bit straight into a big blue gum tree ,i walked away but sadly car was dead
O inesquecível MAD MAX ..da AUSTRÁLIA para o mundo.um dos melhores filmes já produzido..pela sétima arte...sou FÃ de MAD MAX..um filme que marcou uma GERAÇÃO 🇧🇷🇧🇷
There was one of these yellow coups at a mechanics workshop in Lilydale for years. I don't know if it was an original movie car, but it seemed legitimate.
Oh Clunes👨💻 a mate used to take there to his country property Nice place alot to see if uno where to look bit gold 🙃👍 never forget the station Bubba Fptt scene👌
I always wanted the Interceptor, everyone always raved about the black on Black but if you remember the start of the film the first police car had pursuit written on the boot lid, the first cop calls in help from Max, in his Interceptor.. max flips some switches on the roof and sets off..
Hi there Mikey, we can cover many older cars, it just depends on the model. Please give our specialists a call on 13 46 46 and they'll be able to provide you with options. - Maddy
No disrespect to uncle George but seriously the sequels are progressively getting worse & worse. Hey the first 1 was brutal, savage, suspenseful & adrenalin charged. An instant Aussie cult classic. 10/10. 2 & 3 were borderline. No 4 was absolute total & utter tripe!!
There was only One XA falcon and that was a Taxi. The big Bopper car was a Melbourne Metro Pursuit car and Max's Yellow Interceptor was a genuine Hume Highway Victorian Interceptor.
It wasn't worked it had a high diff ratio for Metropolitan duties.Max's Yellow car and the Black Interceptor would murder the Bopper out on the highway. Learn your Police and Movie cars.
@@scarto3887 You might wanna go learn the history of the cars. The mechanic doing the cars in the movie knows the truth & it was worked. Are you calling him & Australian Muscle Car Magazine liars ?

"Mad Max" & "The Road Warrior" were two of my favorite movies when I was a kid. "Interceptor" is the best car name ever. Cheers from America!

They call him "Fletch".
What a FANTASTIC feature. Cheers from the USA.

MAD MAX is on one of our movie chanels all this month. I watch it once a year at the very least.
Fantastic episode, wish it was much longer.
Bring on the 45th Anniversary at Maryborough Racecourse Victoria Australia just over 2 weeks. It's gonna be the Ducks Guts mate.

Only a SCAG would thumb this down and so far at least four of them have shown up (11-17-19).
Im wondering if the "bridge crush" motorcycles are lying at the bottom of the river
Why wouldn't the Japanese love a movie filled with kz1000s. 😃

Vince Gill recently passed 😢
So Australia has a Liberace too 😛

MAD MAX EXPRESS
The XA wasnt a V8. The Pursuit Special was a 302 & Max`s 4 door Interceptor was a 351 but the 302 was worked & it beat the 351.
