These hour long compilations are really good for background noise whenever I'm tidying up the house and for when I go to sleep at night. Thank you for putting these together.
These compilations have been game-changing for me come work or sleep time. A+ background noise by day and A+ sound mixing/chill levels of facts by night.
It was such a magical time without internet guides. Those legendary Pokemon were indeed legendary and put you in awe. I remember when I would encounter one of the dog trio in GSC, I would be ecstatic since I did not know how they roam.
This video came up when I accidentally hit skip on my earbud while in ceramics class. Since I was working with clay, obviously my hands were messy and not ready to change videos. I was pleasantly surprised by the video, and am happy I kept this video on, it was great background noise while I worked on my project!
As well as when I'm going to sleep, I put these on in the background when I'm working from home. It's something cool and interesting to listen to whilst I work. Thanks DYKG.
It's genuinely so cool to me that a franchise like Pokemon that I've been obsessed with for so long can still hold brand new trivia I've never heard before. Even just the smallest trivia like Victini's shiny never been seen in game save for in the files, these games and this franchise is so amazing.
You have to hold A as soon as the ball closes! If you hold it down harder, you have a bigger chance of catching the Pokemon! - My next door neighbor in 1999. Lmao. I still do it out of habit.
The idea of no one seemingly remembering why something was included in these games is so funny and so real. Really goes to show how we sometimes interpret beyond what is originally intended.
It’s really cool to learn some of these obscure, random facts. Some of them will almost certainly never come up in my life again, but they are still interesting.
I always love pokemon fact videos, since it's the only topic I feel I'm really familiar with, it's fun hearing things and being able to be like, "I know that!"
Even if it wasn't possible in the games, Misty would totally slap someone who named their water type Pokemon with swear words. Or any other Pokemon really
I absolutely love schoolyard pokemon myths and rumors. Talking about catching methods and other weird pokemon stuff is one of my favorite memories. Also the creepy stuff like the ghost girlbin Lumiose city in Pokemon Y/X
A few years back I gave up on the "hold b to catch better" trick. For a while I started dancing in place to the music, looking away, losing all hope, gaslighting myself into making it work, and now I'm at "just hold your breath. No blinking. No moving. No breathing. No thinking. Spoilers: it doesn't work
i actually was noding off at work today after pulling a DYKG marathon last night, so i'm nto sure this viedo can actually help you to get a good rest 😅
I wish I knew who was narrating this. It sounds like the same narrator for "Audit the Audit" and I am absolutely in love with this narrators voice. Some people want Morgan freeman to narrate their lives but I'd want this voice instead.
It’s funny that this video was at least re-posted a day ago according to TH-cam, considering it’s talking about not being released before gen 8s release
I remember during the release of Silver and gold, some guy spread a rumor that after beating Red, Team Rocket kidnaps your mom, and you had to fight Giovanni. I was rather disappointed that this didn't happen.
Fun fact: One of the Luigi Pokemon steps, turning the Gameboy upside down, was re-purposed by the Pokemon company to become a unique evolution for Malamar. ^_^
The concept of pokemon black and white is really clear so i agree to them not making the gray version. While most fans disappointed with Sword and Shield's visuals, i still find it interesting, and the gameplay is fun too.
love the transition from “some people believed a silly rumor that saying words into your ds would help cure status conditions :]” to “Some people believed this song made kids commit suicide.”
One pkmn rumor i heard from my brother was that if you pressed x, y, b, and a on your ds in a circular fashion, starting from and ending on x, it'd help catch pokemon. I'm 21 and i swear, i still believe that trick works
I remember there being a rumor that if you beat the Elite 4 however many times, Professor Oak would take you to the Orange Islands. I definitely believed that when I was a kid. Anyone else ever hear that?
my brother and I were so convinced about the mashing to catch pokemon that he would hand it to me when trying to catch a rare one because I could mash faster than him
I learned that when throwing pokeballs / ultraballs you press down + A to increase odds. with great balls its up + B. and I allways do this nowadays aswell! x)
Anyone other 30+ old back hurtin shits out there find this shit so fascinating, but also downright heartbreaking that every single rumor we remember actually was...with guaranteed proof...actual bullshit. That magic is forever gone and no other generation will ever be able to understand the pre internet gaming rumors. Damn. Im not even that old but damn i mean for real, wheres my ibuprofen and Adderall i gotta find the triforce in Ocarina of Time shit yall
I try to ignore a pokemon when I'm catching it so it thinks I'm not interested, I know it doesn't work, but I'm not going to give them the satisfaction 😂
I agree with most people in the comments…I swear I caught way more pokemon by holding down buttons but it’s funny because when the newer generations came out I automatically stopped holding down the buttons 😂😅
Imagine how powerful these rumors were. I was a kid all the way in the caribbean with no internet just my pokemon game and friends and these rumors STILL got to me like bro😂😂😂😂. Pokemon is universal
I've tried to fall asleep to these videos but I always end up staying awake longer as I'm enjoying the facts too much!
These hour long compilations are really good for background noise whenever I'm tidying up the house and for when I go to sleep at night. Thank you for putting these together.
These compilations have been game-changing for me come work or sleep time. A+ background noise by day and A+ sound mixing/chill levels of facts by night.
33 years old and I still hold down the a/b button when I catch a pokemon XD
I don't care what anyone thinks... That works... Fudge anyone who says its just a rumor.... 😂😂😂
Consciousness can affect RNG, it does, in a way, work whatever some people will tell you.
I will always hold Down+B when I throw a pokeball, right after the ball first closes.
I always did a rapid tap on just the B button.
Its a universal thing 16 and i do it religiously 😭
It was such a magical time without internet guides. Those legendary Pokemon were indeed legendary and put you in awe.
I remember when I would encounter one of the dog trio in GSC, I would be ecstatic since I did not know how they roam.
Oh man, catching those things was the greatest exercise in frustration ever
holding down the buttons to boost catch rate might not be programmed into the game but it is into the universe
you mean spamming the b button
@@mystun3nope, hold that b button
@@TeamLunacyReal fake pokemon fan, everyone knows spamming is the real myth

Thanks DYKG.
I always thought that I was the only one that put on pokemon content to fall asleep to. Why is this a thing that works so well😂😂
I remember one that you had to beat the elite four with an exeggcute to get Mew.
So many of these videos are actually researched, unlike a lot of channels that just read the wiki for everything.
34:18 what's crazy is that they really made a sushi pokemon in gen 9. Can't wait for the bag of chips.
I didn’t think I’d actually fall asleep to this yet here I am next morning having slept soundly 😂
2:20 I don't care what anyone says holding B still works to catch Pokemon
It's genuinely so cool to me that a franchise like Pokemon that I've been obsessed with for so long can still hold brand new trivia I've never heard before. This video came online just as I was looking for something to fall asleep to a few days ago. Spot on timing
Please keep up this content!!
Growing up with Pokémon I’m still amazed and enjoy all the secrets that are being uncovered, especially from the earlier games
I still rapidly alternate tapping A and B out of superstition despite knowing it does nothing.
You have to hold A as soon as the ball closes! If you hold it down harder, you have a bigger chance of catching the Pokemon!
- My next door neighbor in 1999. Lmao.
I still do it out of habit.
Your conscious intent has a small effect on RNG itself:]
@@Caun-88 In 10 years we'll find out that you can run arbitrary code to increase the odds by pushing and holding random buttons.
@@ZeranZeran Same. Or a to increase damage and b to decrease damage took lol
@@boodeesparx1192 Sometimes I'll hold up or down on the d pad at the same time too.
Finally, the perfect sleep ASMR
these genuinely help me calm down after a stressful day, thank you
This is great cause i work nights and i struggle to sleep during the day unless i have some sort of background noise. Thanks @DYKG_clips !
How tf would you spell out C E L E B I(6 Unown) AND use Cut in the shrine when Unown doesn't learn Cut? 😭😭😭

I love these Pokémon facts!
It’s really cool to learn some of these obscure, random facts. Some of them will almost certainly never come up in my life again, but they are still interesting.
These Pokémon fact compilations have been amazing! Truly been loving the interviews, especially with Nob!
This was one of the best nuzlockes I've ever watched!
Brock would find it funny though
I have tried almost every one of these, and I regret nothing.
I never knew this was a thing.. now i can fall asleep with pokemon in mind
I could definitely see myself using these videos to help fall asleep
I’m gonna fall asleep so fucking hard to this
I remember the old days of forum diving to figure out the puzzles in gold/silver/crystal. Miss those days at times
FINALLY A NEW POKÉMON VIDEO
I love how I learn something new pretty much every time a new one of these comes out!
Time to fall asleep
7:08
What a great idea for a video series
Seeing those old commercials and gen 1 clips... omg the nostalgia...
Its been too long ;o;
I did indeed fall asleep to this and I don’t remember when but I woke up and realised it was still playing
Bro how you know we chuck Pokémon facts on to fall asleep to!?!? HOW DO YOU KNOW???
DYKG facts are what I fill my brain with instead of other useful life skills 😂
I like the lavender town music
Its very spooky :>
Missingno sounds like he’d be a one in a million glitch to find and it was actually pretty easy. 😄
They used the Meme in Vampire Survivors as well, much easier then you’d think
Thank you for these videos. They are such a godsend after a long day💕✨
Oh wow a video I can put on to relax and unwind and theres battle music playing through out our
7:02 this is so funny, cause this did become an actual way to evolve a Pokémon later on.
I remember being told about Pikablu at the lunch table in 2nd or 3rd grade maybe. Amazing
When my love for the Pokémon IP started to wane and crumble these facts-videos kept it alive. The times are now more dire than ever though :(
I absolutely love schoolyard pokemon myths and rumors. Talking about catching methods and other weird pokemon stuff is one of my favorite memories. Also the creepy stuff like the ghost girlbin Lumiose city in Pokemon Y/X
Great idea for a channel and I’m for sure saving this video to a playlist
This is nostalgic as heck
Pokemon is soooooooo great. Can't stop replaying the gold version.

The mew rumors were just wild. Millennials had some crazy imaginations.
