DKC 2 had the more distinctive humming melodies. DKC 3 had the atmosphere that captured the settings a little better. I actually liked DKC 3's soundtrack slightly more.
Dude your work is amazing, i'm really glad people like you exist. I grew up playing Dkc and the restoring work you make is very special for me. Great Job!
I absolutely adore this and Northern Hemispheres. Both always felt like very fresh, beautiful takes on the roughness and dangers of extreme winter and cold. I've never been abroad. The lowest temperature I've ever had to "endure" was about 4°C (no idea what this is in Fahrenheit) and I've never been even close to snow (though, contrary to popular belief, it is possible in Brazil, on the southern region - I live in the southeast, however). But these two themes, along with (much later) Phendrana Drifts (from Metroid Prime) alternate in translating to me that harsh winter feel. Thank you so much, Sam! 😁
4 Celsius is about 38 degrees Faranheit. Greetings to Brazil. I live in southwest Canada. This part of Canada doesn't get very cold where I am. It's hot in summer (between 25 and 40 celsius) and winters here are between -5 and +15 Celsius. The hottest temperatures I was in was +45 in Calfornia and the coldest for me was -40.
Essa música tem um ar mais empolgante, como se fosse fantástico um mundo gelado. A anterior que vc mencionou do primeiro DKC trazia um aspecto mais de perigo, de que aconteceria uma avalanche a qualquer momento e você precisasse de resgate.
Talk about memories, I was maybe 6 when I played this game and it was one of my favorites. I felt so happy as a kid when I finally beat the entire DKC trilogy on the SNES. Thank you for this bit of nostalgia.
I like your realistic, relaxed playstyle. Otherwise these games would have been no fun, as they are also about the experience, and entertainment, and not just obsessing about perfection the whole day, every day.
@@salenrosen8532 he's obviously talking about the mentality of the people that watch other people play a game perfectly, without dying or even getting hit and acts as If They're the best players of that game, but then uses that Idea of "professional player" to judge If the person that IS playing the same game is good or bad, and (most of the time) If the person they watch doesnt finish a level/Boss without doing some mistakes (like we're ALL used to do, we're humans not machines for gods sake lol), they Will straight call them bad Just because they do not dedicate their whole life to a game to the point they dont even get hit/killed ONCE. This mentality IS way more common in competitive multiplayer games, where one single mistake that can cost the match Will cause some profanities in either the chat or the Voice chat.
Yesss, it's fixed! Once again, fantastic job, mister! ❤ Edit: noooo, the very last loop has that rhythmic inconsistency present in the short version you posted. =/ Thanks, nevertheless!
Both the SNES and GBA capture 2 sides of the same coin of winter, that being the danger of the blizzard and the weather and the jolly nature of Christmas.
@@burnvalves7874 I believe his methods he uses for these restorations may only be applicable to the DKC series since they used real instrumental samples, granted compressed down to fit on the cart, which at the time was fairly uncommon. I could be wrong but I know not many other SNES games had music that sounded so good and almost CD quality like.

I like DKC 3's soundtrack more than 1. 2 edges it for more iconic tracks.

Wow! This track sounds amazing restored!
I give my eternal thanks for doing this. I enjoy the soundtrack of Donkey Kong 3, but this stage stood out the most for me.
The graphics are amazing but the music in this trilogy is phenomenal
Best. Snow level theme. Ever.
Damn you really did a great job with this one, it sounds exactly like the original but with far better quality
WAY better than the DKC3 GBA track.
I respectfully disagree. Each ost brings something to the table the other's lacking.
And then Pokey Pipes slaps in the GBA version. What's up with composition for these games
Def better than dkc 3 gba

What's that supposed to mean? He's not a gamer, he's a musician. Of course it's gonna be relaxed and slow.

I dunno, I get a lot of joy out if speedrunning the first DKC. I'll never be a top player but it felt great pulling off a dankspin for my friends
