I enjoyed your film as I remember Muirhouse as I used to live there and I got any house l wanted and you should be proud of yourself as I remember the days you won't get they days back and it was a great movie and watching your interview was so good to see as you are doing amazing things to help peoplexx
I grew up in a wee village called Pumpherston. And i seriously have no idea what its like to live in Muirhoose as we called it or anywhere north. Later in life i had a boyfriend who lived in woodburn, wow that was bad enough. I am enjoying your work i have just discovered it. Keep it up doll xxx
Great little documentary. This film is a little bit of history. You should do as many as you can on Pennywell and Muirhouse because in 10 years it will be completely different. Will be good to look back on your films. Thanks for posting it on youtube.
At the very end when you are looking at the camera is where I spent my teenage years. Just to the right of you I was in 10 pennywell grove. The ground floor to the left of the stairwell. I walked down that path, well the original path before the council did the area up, to get married in 1982.
Great to see lived in masonettes behind the gunner left to go and live in England 1975 great place to live great people but go home as much as possible the transformation is unbelievable was up a couple of months ago visiting family who still live there time moves on but a lot of the same people still live there which speaks volumes for muirhouse never be the same as the old days good luck guys long live muirhouse 👍
Thank you a appreaacte people taking an intrest in my films, I am trying to get funding just now to make a documentrie about Muirhouse from 1973 to 1996 i have come up with some hart breaking stas such as in a 10 year period 186 of ma people died from HIV AIDS, and other shocking stats, a lot of peole watch trainspotting & think they know the what happened but i am looking to dispel the myths that come with that.
My Granny & Grandad lived there from when they were built, until they were demolished. My Granny was the last one in the block. Amazingly, over all those decades she never had any real bother. But it was beginning to annoy her that she she worked all her days for a pension but had to stand in the post-office queue with Somali immigrants as they collected their free benefits.
He wanted big mega fantasy payout , there always a couple that hold up redevelopment until they get a big check , as always they get dragged out in police van , wrecking crew come in and smash up the house and game over
My Gran lived in nearby West Pilton View for over 3O years.
I'm really enjoying your films pal. I find Muirhouse really interesting for some reason and there's not a lot on it. So good work mate. Thanks.

How's it looking 15 years on?
@Mrmallet777 I left 4 years ago and there had been a lot of changes. There are other more recent films on TH-cam of people doing drive arounds.
My granny lived in Muirhouse and my nana lived at Pennywell Place. I remember Kibby's when I was a bairn lol. Happy days :)

Well I enjoyed your film anyway. My folks stayed in one of those flats for quite a while, and it done them no harm.
New builds are down that way council houses but very modern and if you live there you get priority to get one! Fact if the day
