Brilliant, loved watching this latest trip. Keep up the great work.
Aww thank you ! 🥰 yes, it went by so quickly, but in 12 days time it’s off to sunny Spain for our next adventures 👌❤️ merry Christmas and Thankyou for watching and commenting 🎄🎄❤️
Another amazing vlog guys! The breakdown of the costs was very useful given our plans to visit Europe. Keep up the good work. Sid and Nicola, Rugby
Aww thank you guys 🥰 much appreciated x
Thanks for the breakdown of costs. Very helpful.
You mentioned up plating your van before you left.
I started the process 17th November. New V5 arrived today. Less than 4 weeks from first email.
Looking forward to your next adventure 👍
Hi Craig ! Thanks for commenting ❤️ wow that was quick for the v5 ! We haven’t had chance yet as the time between trips isn’t long enough , but it will happen after our Spain adventures 🥰 merry Christmas 🎄
Strasbourg!
@catwalk1958 Thankyou ! ❤️❤️🎄
Hi corrin and Paul 👋 just us 2saying hi 👍thanks for sharing this video update and information.👋 this is our opinion all Christmas market seam the same nowadays. 👋den and sue 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚌🚌🚌
Good morning Den and Sue ! 🎄❤️ , yes, they were all very similar, but fortunately the cities they were in were beautiful, the snow just added that little bit more ☃️☃️ , merry Christmas to you both, thanks so much for your continued support in watching our vlogs xx Corrin & Paul 🐩🐩
Well done guys, very interesting the cathedral was lovely, wow that’s very expensive 90 quid Tole charge. I’ve never been to Europe but the charges seem very expensive 😢😢
Now I hope you bought a new tube of toothpaste 🤬🤬🤣over here in OZ there is loads of free camping places but I dispose our lovely weather makes a big difference it’s always hot somewhere here. Ok guys thanks for your new blog looking forward to the next one. Happy new year 🎉
Jon🇦🇺
Hi Jon ! Happy new year ! Yes the cathedral was amazing, the toll charge was a shocker, but we could’ve taken the ferry for less, but it would’ve taken quite a bit longer ! 🙂 we are indeed getting a bit of sun in France now, but will be heading to Spain in a few days , as the sun isn’t as good as your side of the globe ! Thanks for watching and your continued support xx🥰
Hi lovelies great informative video and I think that trip was good value 🥰 cute all the doggies sat in their Xmas coats ♥️ love the tribute to droney 🤣🤣🤣😭😭 xxx 😘
Aww thanks guys xx it was amazing , RIP dronie the submarine 😬 ❤️❤️🎄xx
Colmar, eguisheim, ribeauville, riquewihr are all nice at Xmas time, if you go to Bavaria do NOT miss Rothenburg ob der tauber you will love it👍👍 Thanks for the trip, and now looking forward to the next one👍
❤️ amazing Thankyou for sharing and commenting ! 🎄🎄 really appreciate this , and Thankyou for following us ! 🥰
Big thanks for sharing your memories with so much information ❤
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting, very much appreciated, ❤️🎄
Thanks, we really enjoyed the series. Looking forward to Spain.
Aww Thankyou so much ! ❤️ much appreciated, merry Xmas 🎄
Norway is probably the most expensive place to eat or buy food. You did well on the costs. Cross both bridges into Sweden then travel down through the islands to Germany and take a ferry back to the main land. Superb trip. Go in the summer you get the midnight sun so you can travel right to the north of Sweden, Norway and Finland and still be outside at 12 midnight!! Parkingvfor free muchbeasier as well.
Wow ! ❤️🥰 Thankyou so much for all this wonderful information, much appreciated.. x
I have just watched all your videos and enjoyed everything you put on.
Look forward to watching things to come. Aww your dogs are beautiful. ❤
Aww Thankyou so much ! ❤️❤️ really appreciate your lovely comments 🥰 xx Thankyou for watching 🙂
Terrific and brutally honest vlog. Totally agree on the lack of sunlight, horray someone has spoken the truth!! It boils my proverbial when vloggers chunter on about the winter sun. Just completing 2 weeks in Portugal , north to south, chucking it down with rain, slightly above freezing and absolutely cheesed off as trying to get visits in with reduced sunlight. However, we have some warmth and not snowing. Our costts are similar to yours due to high diesel prices and toll road costs are horrendous. Tried non toll roads but thats another story. In short, avoid Portugal and keep in Spain imho. We move there in next couple of days but wont return. Yes winter travel is probldmatic no matter where you go, but if you're honest with yourself, and expect the unexpected, you'll be fine. Top marks on this vlog and might see you in Spain 😊😊
Aww thank you very much 🥰 yes , say it how it is ! No rose tinted specs 👌 we will be heading to Spain in a few weeks, we will keep a check on the weather in Portugal, as it’s somewhere we would like to visit , but the season and weather does have its pitfalls ! Yes we may well see you in Spain ! Not long now 🙂 merry Christmas 🎄 ❤️ and Thankyou once again
Enjoyed watching your trip. I was surprised a lot of the totals were lower than I thought. Especially the food, not sure we could keep it that low 😂. Look forward to seeing your next adventure.
Aww Thankyou Sue, we took quite a bit with us, pasta, dry food , soda stream .. we are very cheap to keep ! We don’t drink or smoke , so we are budget friendly all the way ! ❤️❤️ thanks for watching and commenting, really appreciated.. merry Xmas 🎄 xx Corrin & Paul 🐩🐩
Pleased your both home safe(and your Dogs!!!)I would think your spend for the time away was pretty good and why not.A Great experience.Thankyou for your time videoing, putting your story together.Look forward to your next adventure.Have a Great Xmas(and rest)Take care.Stay safe.Jxx
Hi John ! ❤️ thanks for your lovely comments 🥰 glad you enjoyed our vlog, here’s wishing you a merry xmas , from Corrin, Paul and the girls 🐩🐩💕
Them cost were fine , let's be fair no one can go to Denmark without having to shell out, we've been to Denmark in the past and we are going back in the summer for five weeks, sometimes you just have to pay if you want to go these places, so for me as like you it's totally worth it, as for my Xmas ideas if you've never been Paris at Christmas then you need to utube it as it's fantastic and no one seem to ever mention it, then down to Colmar and from Colmar catch the train straight into Strasbourg, anyway another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍
Good morning ! And Thankyou for such great ideas 🥰 we haven’t done Paris, so that’s a thought ! Colmar and Strasbourg keep getting mentioned too , so these will certainly be getting a visit ! Thanks so much, Denmark was amazing and worth every penny ! That’s a nice place to look forward to as a summer visit too ❤️ merry Christmas 🎄 and we really appreciate your support, Corrin and Paul 🐩🐩 xx
At least you have done the markets now but tbh they are all the same. The atmosphere is lovely ❤
❤️🎄 Thankyou for commenting, yes the atmosphere was superb 🎄🎄❤️
Great video!
Thankyou Shauna ! ❤️
Interesting and honest chat ❤
Thankyou ! It was a nice way to round up our lovely trip ❤️🎄 much appreciated x
Hi guys, thanks for sharing 👍 did you not remember to take your thermals🤔. Have a great Christmas ❤❤
Good afternoon ! We did ❤️ but it was still a little nippy , but nicely offset by the scenery xx merry Christmas 🎄
Cracking video, Bavaria is an amazing place, really nice. 🏴
Good evening ! ❤️ that adds another vote and sets it as a future destination 🥰 Thankyou for watching and merry Xmas 🎄
Good evening ! ❤️ that adds another vote and sets it as a future destination 🥰 Thankyou for watching and merry Xmas 🎄
I think it would be a useful comparison to work out what you would be spending at home for the same time period to find out the real cost of going away. I'm sure that food, heating and lighting costs are very similar and there would also be some fuel cost too.
❤️ yes, pretty sure if we compared the 2 lifestyles it would be very similar , whilst the food costs stop at home, the utility bills etc still roll in , and depending on mileage ( the biggest cost ) will really boost the cost of life on the road , a valid point, Thankyou 👍🙂
I recommend you try the Eiffel region of Germany it sits in between Belgium and Holland and the xmas markets in the little villages are fantastic.
Thankyou for the recommendation, love the little villages xx 🎄🎄❤️ much appreciated x
I would think Monschau would be quite magical at Christmas time. The Eiffel region is beautiful and not too far from the UK.
@@abgmac67 I’m lucky my son lives in kommern in the Eiffel we spend a lot of time there. Christmas is just magical 👍
Amazing, how lucky x I bet it looks beautiful all lit for Christmas 🎄
It’s a great area and plenty to see, lots to see and do the battle of the bulge took place in this area.
If I were you i'd move to ireland and have no schengen problems anymore. 👍😁
Always keep our options open 👌👍
So you definitely want to check out the Black Forest region and go to Colmar, Strasbourg and please visit the dog friendly Europa park which is just an amazing experience, not a standard theme park it’s beyond amazing and world class. Enjoy 😊have lots of tips if you want to visit there as have spent many weeks over many years! ❤
Hi Steven ❤️ really great tips there , thankyou so much for sharing , we may give you a message when we visit the area ❤️❤️
Europa park camp resort is great for motor homes… and trust me it’s a beyond anything you’ve ever experienced… went many times in summer and Xmas and nothing beats it. 😊
@stevenkennings3875 Thankyou ! Great advice, will definitely look into it ! ❤️ thanks for sharing 🙂
Hello both another great video keep them coming
Have a great Christmas 🎄 and new year 🎉
Aww Thankyou so much ! Really appreciated 🥰 merry Christmas to you too ☃️🎄❤️
I used to live in Bridgend my self but not in wales 🏴 anymore x
We’re in Brackla 🙂 ( sometimes ) 🙂🚐
I used to live in brackla
Small world 🌍 ❤️❤️🙂
You guys did really well 😊 we need some tips as we’ve spent a small fortune 😂❤
❤️Thankyou ! We enjoyed ourselves but tried to be sensible with our budget , so we can go and do it all again 🥰 thanks for watching and commenting xx
The trip seems to have gone by so quickly, really enjoyed it, you both seem so genuine and nice people, how long have you been travelling and do you watch anyone else on TH-cam, all the best for Christmas and looking forward to the next adventure
Hi Lee ! Thanks for the lovely comments 🥰 really appreciated, we’ve only been travelling for a couple of years due to job commitments, but both now retired ! We watch quite a lot of other channels , particularly the ones who travel outside the uk , all so very informative ❤️ merry Christmas to you too , thanks for following and supporting, kind regards, Corrin & Paul x
Another really useful vlog. Approaching retirement in a few months & very much looking forward to travel freedom so bags of inspiration from your movies. We had 14 years living in Germany (Ex Army) and would recommend Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber, Munich, Garmisch for a Christmas trip, you could do Black Forest or (Schwarz Wald) on the way back.
Good evening ! Thanks so much for the recommendations 🥰 I’m sure you can’t wait to get travelling ! Exciting times ahead xx 🎄🎄❤️
Really great review of the trip. Just a thought on the solar issues. Why not have a single portable 120 folding solar panel that you can point at the low sun for occasions like this trip if the roof mounted solar isn’t catching the sun? They don’t seem to expensive but very good.
We are lucky to have been given a couple of power banks to review, each one has solar panels ( portable folding ) so it does help a little , and 2 panels up top , but Thankyou so much for commenting and sharing , really appreciated ❤️❤️🎄
Enjoy all your reviews. Thanks. Regards the pet costs do you need to pay for AHC for each dog each time you abroad ?
Thanks ☺️
Unfortunately yes, each time you go abroad you need another AHC… which is expensive, fortunately you can still get an EU pet passport in Belgium, even with a UK address. Let me know if you want a link to the vet in Bruges
Didn't know that. Thinking of northern france and belgium next year to see ww2 stuff. I'll look into it then.
Sounds like a good plan ! Merry Christmas 🎄
I’ve just finished a whole day watching your euro trip in full and at the end you mentioned titre testing, I beleive the Moroccan authorities now insist on a EU titre test, please check this out and confirm for yourselves that the U.K. titre test is not sufficient.
See the latest vlogs from “our van tales” safe travels always👍
Good evening and thanks for commenting and sharing 🥰 we’ve abandoned our trip to Morocco due to insurance issues, we are currently heading into Spain and Portugal, so fortunately we didn’t need a titre test , but we will take a look for future reference ! Thankyou ❤️🎄
Thanks for the review, also starlink. I was really interested, do you have it connected to the 12v system or only on 240v
Good morning Tony ! 🙂 it currently runs on mains 240 volt, there is a modification that can be done so it runs via 12 volt which we haven’t done as it’s under warranty, it will run for about 3 hours from our smallest power bank ( 600 watts ) , hope that helps ! And thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated ❤️🎄
Did you get snow tyres fitted purely for this trip ? I recommend Vulcanburg for Xmas I think iv spelt it right keep up the videos great watch 👍👍
Good evening ! Thanks for the recommendation ❤️❤️ we needed new tyres because of the age of the old ones, we fitted agilis to our previous van and the difference in ride was amazing, we also planned the winter trip , so the timing came together and we had a great deal too ! Quite a few of the countries we visit require them during winter , we also have snow chains, but the tyres tick the box in most countries and offer a better ride ! 🎄🎄merry Christmas ❤️
Camping memling is the campsite in bruges, 20-25 min walk in ..fab place
Thankyou for sharing ! Didn’t know about that one, much appreciated xx
@@redsgotravels similar price as the Aire tbh..but obviously not as close
Thankyou, really helpful 👍❤️
Just something to look into
Pets passport! It's worth going over to Northern Ireland and getting your pet passports. Lot cheaper & longer
Thanks for the tip ! And thanks for sharing , so much better than animal health certificates ❤️🎄
Good Evening Guys 👍
Good evening !
Really enjoy your vlogs. One question on Starlink - Power supply is 230 volts, so how many amps does the system use if you have it on for 24 hours?
Safe travels.
Thankyou for your lovely comments 🥰 we use it as and when, a couple of hours at a time and put it on standby when not in use, the figures from the company state … The standard Starlink dish consumes roughly 1 kilowatt hour of electricity in 24 hours. That's just shy of the usable capacity in a 100 amp-hour lithium battery , I hope that helps 🙂❤️🎄merry Xmas !
@@redsgotravels Many thanks for your speedy reply.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
🥰🥰Thankyou ! And you too ❤️
Really enjoyed watching your videos , but one small thing, i find it difficult to believe 30 mpg come on 🤔van that size loaded, in those temperatures.
We do drive very economically , to max our mpg and take it leisurely 🙂 the van is deceptive , it’s 6.3 M long , under 3500 kg and it certainly does do 30 mpg when driven lightly ! Thanks for watching , really appreciated ❤️🎄
Hi I've been following you for a while my wife and I plan to travel in a motorhome when we retire in a couple of years can you send me a list of the things we need to get started with
Good morning ! Thanks so much for watching and commenting , really appreciated, you’ve given us a great idea for a little vlog that may be of use, it is something we will work on a look to upload .. do you think that might work ? 🙂 .. we can then share some of our experiences and thoughts ? 🥰 merry Christmas 🎄🎄
@@redsgotravels I think that would work a lot thanks
@@redsgotravels merry Christmas to you both and and your dogs we have a Dalmatian look forward to your next trip
@eddieellis9277 🥰❤️travels with a dog ! ❤️🐩🐩 amazing xx next trip on 27/12 🙂
@eddieellis9277 🥰
No need to put ot on the roof...just balance it in the skylight space...it just needs to see the sky.. doesn't need to actually be outside..also i think the subscription is only cancellable as months duration rather than pay as you go 🤔 i might be wrong tho.
❤️that is very helpful thankyou ! Really appreciate your comments 🥰
@@redsgotravels I'll stop going on now 🤣🤣🤣
😂it’s all so helpful ! Please carry on , it’s wonderful x 🥰
Do you use 4 season tyres ? I see you have an infra red heater in the background.
Good morning ! Thanks for the comment 🙂 yes, we use Michelin agility all season with the 3 peaks and snowflake marking, along with that we carry snow chains just in case , but never used them yet ☃️ the infra red panel is a great bit of kit, we did a review on it a few vlogs back 🙂🙂🎄
Hi both. I have been following you for some time now and really enjoy your videos. I wonder if you, (or anyone else) can help me? I have a second hand DJI mavic mini drone which is sub 250g. I have registered it in the UK and have done the on line test so that I can fly it legally. My question is; what do I need to legally fly in the EU? I don't understand all the catogories and sub sections blah blah blah. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
Hi Paul ! It can seem a little confusing in getting it right, due to Brexit, any uk qualifications and registration are not relevant in Europe , you’ll need to register , I found going through the French website easiest to navigate, as long as you do it in the first country you intend to fly in , it’s relevant to all of Europe , I recommend insurance , Coverdrone have been amazing , here’s a link which I found very helpful in getting both my drones sorted , www.easa.europa.eu/en/light/topics/travelling-drones
Hope it helps, just message if we can help further ! ❤️❤️
Thank you.@@redsgotravels
Happy to help ❤️🙂
What do you do about phone network now the roaming has gone up in price
We have a sim with ee that is great for mobile in eu, but with starlink we make video or wifi calls 🙂 so rarely need to use cellular ❤️ thanks for watching ! Merry Christmas 🎄
I need to apologise as I had to mute you for a few seconds 😢 I couldn't work out if it was one of my dogs snoring or yours 😂
🤣that was our poodlepotomas 🐩🐩🙈
@@redsgotravels 🤣🤣🤣
Swansea voted one of the best markets not far from you ❤
❤️🏴🏴 totally agree… amazing market ❤️🎄🎄
Brexit has really put a downer on those that love to travel freely 😢
It really has 😢x
@@redsgotravels
We're in the same position as you guys, having two dogs, but not travelled into Europe since Brexit.
I'm wondering if you've covered the process of the inns & outs of taking your dogs with you?
So far we've contacted our local vets & it seems a very costly expense on any future visit we may plan.
The vets saying the same process/cost is for each & every visit/crossing in to Europe?
Due to this it's so far put us off, their quote is £670 for both dogs, every time we leave the UK.
What's you experience please?
@@keepitreal1547 I think we can help you make it a fraction of that price and can guide you towards ultimately getting EU passports for your dogs making each trip free (other than possible ferry or tunnel surcharges)
I’m finalising a video today on this subject which I will put out this week. It’s going to cost you nowhere near the prices you’ve been quoted 👍
@@redsgotravels
WOW that's just amazing. It would change things so much for us in a positive way.
I can't thank you enough & will look forward to the video.
@keepitreal1547 working on it right now ❤️👍
That’s the problem with this 90 day rule, you have to balance your plans.
It sure is a balancing act isn’t it ! Looking forward to Spain ☀️☀️ , thanks very much for commenting ! 🎄❤️ merry Xmas
