Hi My Yamasaki F30 smells of petrol. No leak as far as I can tell. The bike is parked on my driveway under a plastic cover. When I lifted the cover earlier today, there was some petrol at the back on the inside of the cover. Now, my knowledge of engines and how they work is very limited, but am I right in thinking that maybe some petrol may not have burnt off properly so that it now sits in the exhaust and that the petrol may have evaporated from the exhaust under the cover and then condensed on the inside cover surface at the back? If my thinking is correct, my initial thought is to take a longish ride and do some extra revving to burn off any excess petrol. If I am on the wrong track here, what else could be wrong and what could I try in order to remedy the situation? The bike had its first service two weeks ago. Many thanks in advance.
