I was repairing a KW that had been tipped on it's side, way back behind the dash was a men's wedding ring and a working Rolex watch (bonus!). With the trunk on place you have reference for pulling the qt. panels on place
Dang that's a score! Also that's what I was thinking while bolting the trunk lid on. That will make it easier to fit everything. Thanks for the comment!
I might be alone here , but to me thje initial cleanup of an old rustball project isnt fun exactly, but seeing the cleaned bare bones that I can start planning and scheming from is one of the most satisfying times of building . That may be the main thing that can actually motivate me out of a chair to do the cleanup and dismantling chores.. Its easy for me to collect old wrecks but its much more difficult for me to start working on them
@@BuildersGarageJ031 I wasn't trying to sound like your mom I have a friend that used to do that for years not wear a mask prevent dust Rust and everything else well years later he had to stop because he started having breathing problems and now he has this thing inside him and a device he has to carry around that helps him breathe but I have another friend that been doing the same thing for years and nothing has happened to him I'm not sure why maybe it's like rolling the dice something might happen. Something might not happen I'm not telling you what to do you do what you want to do it's just some friendly advice
I found a old pocket watch from under the back seat of a ford pop sit up beg I still have the watch over 25 years ago now lol

I agree! While this was quite a daunting task, it really wasn't bad the worst part was the headliner. My least favorite thing to do is electrical.
