    i got to spend a couple hours on my friend's yesterday and i want one. i'm 6'2" 115lb and loved it. his has stiffer springs, fmf high band pipe, and a rekluse clutch, which worked great in the hills. just chugged up hills. i found it to feel perfect.

    Great review! My xtrainer has also been dead reliable, aside from some low-speed jetting issues.

    I have 3 Betas, a Trainer an RR and a Race model.
    One thing I discovered about the cooling system is the type of coolant they come with, it tends to leak. I replaced it with a standard automotive coolant.... leaks solved.
    Another item to watch are the fender bolts and other misc fasteners. I found some loose.
    And Check the drive chain tension.
    All 3 of mine had too tight of chains.

      @@m11ny RR is a race bike, I don't own a RR, but they say it will rip your arms out of the sockets. The XT is a woods bike, nimble, easy to ride. Everything Professionalpiddler said is SPOT ON.

    Plastics look good for a 2017!!! Lots of questions coming at ya....I thought about adding the washers as well, Owen Lock? I think? AMP suspension helped my style of riding as well, lots of deflection with that front end before sending them to Aaron. Any issue with your Power valve gasket leaking? I see you have your Power Valve adjusted all the way out? How do you like that? Piston and Rings, clutch been changed? Do you still have the OIS? Thanks for the walk around. I have a 17 as well, love it!!!

    Well done VID...Curious test rode the 2020 Xtrainer 300 & 200 RR at demo day recently, really wanted the 200 RR but after riding the Xtrainer, I might consider it. What do you think?

    • @professionalpiddler1071
      @professionalpiddler1071  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gear Higher the 200 would be a lot of fun on more open type trails that are less technical but the xtrainer will shine when the trail gets steep or rocky. That’s a hard decision!

      @natiusjarvis 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I test rode both the 200 and xtrainer extensively. For me, the xtrainer engine is just butter. It's amazing and I ended up pulling the trigger on it vs the 200. Weight is similar. Frames are different, but knowing i can do the AMP suspension on the xtrainer sealed it for me.

    Man I'm absolutely torn between the xtrainer and the 300rr looking for a hard enduro bike. I have a 17 ktm excf 450 which does okay on extreme trails. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my 450 on most trails. But really looking for something that shines in the tight singletrack and extremely rocky terrain.

      @professionalpiddler1071  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      DakMoto Dualsport Adventures You can’t go wrong with either bike for rocky extreme trails and both will be night and day better than your 450 in that kind of terrain. Try to find a dealer and sit on both bikes and see which one fits you best.

      @@DmenDuroRider I rode the Beta 200 RR at the Beta Demo days and really liked that bike. You can't believe how powerful they are for a 200. I'm 6 ft 210 pounds and it had plenty of plenty. It seems like it sits a little lower than most bikes, not much, maybe an inch or so. I really liked it. I ride a 2015 KTM SX with a 200 SX engine in it. The stock 144 cc engine just didn't have enough torque and I love that 200 SX engine.

      Im about the same height at 5/8 and its a top ride. I am 50 and 90kgs, so I have to pre-oil my hip before I throw my leg over... but once I'm on it, suspension aside, its a fairdinkum cracker of a bike. I also have a Husky Te310, a CRF 250R and a KTM 350 SX. Been riding all types of machines all my life, but I have to say Im enjoying this bike so much more than the others. What would you tell a 165 pound rider who’s eyeing a new xtrainer? I want a 300 of some sort but I swear I think the xtrainer would suit me well being a light rider and save me a couple thousand dollars vs a regular 300. I’m riding a 450 now and can throw it around in the tight technical single track. Do you think I’d be happy with an xtrainer? All I ride is tight, technical single track like Browns Flat at Windrock style. If you’ve ever heard of that place.

    • @professionalpiddler1071
      @professionalpiddler1071  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Drew Valentine
      The xtrainer is a awesome bike for tight stuff like Browns. The suspension is great after a little work and the lower seat height is nice if you’re not tall. If you’re used to a 450 then a 300RR would be fine too and not need any suspension work but will be more expensive. I don’t think you would be disappointed with a xtrainer.

    • @Drewski423
      @Drewski423 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m about 5’11 maybe 6 with boots on. I think the suspension may be good out of the box for me. I prefer mine on the softer side. How is the bottom end grunt compared to say a 300rr? I believe I’m just gonna go xtrainer and save the money.

    • @Drewski423
      @Drewski423 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Like I said all I ever ride anymore is tight technical single track.

    • @Drewski423
      @Drewski423 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m looking for something very nimble, with the ability to tractor in the bottom to mid range. Very rarely do I ever get in anything fast and flowy. Most of the East Tennessee single track is all the same. Tight, technical with steep up and down hills.

    • @professionalpiddler1071
      @professionalpiddler1071  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Haven’t ridden a 300RR but I’m 6-2 185 and it’s got plenty of grunt for me, more like a tractor. I think you’ll be happy with it.

  • @cbull316

    I'm about a 155 to 165 lbs with gear. Do you think the suspension would be to soft for me as well?
    I had a 14 Race Edition rr 300, even after a spring change I thought it was still to rough. I like a very plush suspension, I ride hard but don't jump much.
    Thanks

      If I had to guess I would say it would be pretty good with stock springs. Adding some preload to the front fork may help also.

    I would love a new bike. I just can't justify the cost of new Euro bikes. I know the XTrainer is the cheapest. In addition they all seem to require this and that upgrade or modification. Just no value there in my mind. I paid $1300 for my 95 KDX 200. And it's race prepped with everything. The only new dirt bike I ever owned was a high school graduation present from my grandfather. A brand new 1973 Yamaha DT250 Enduro. I think they cost like $750 new. I rode the shit out of that thing. Even raced it in a AMA National Enduro once. I would love a new Beta 200rr, but I ain't paying $10K for one.
