Good size bass for the table, when i was a kid i watched a 7 ish year old girl pull out a bass, about 4lb, with crabbing line from 3 yards out, i always fish one out and one close in, i've had some nice fish close in, that was a good tip with the prawn head, i've never thought of that, crackin video Matt, keep em coming, tight lines
Cheers mark mate! I’ve seen massive fish pulled in on crab lines too.. absolutely crazy! Yeh, i’m experimenting with my prawn bait presentation at the minute, try get more baits out of 1 prawn!
Yeee! Was lovely! I’ve been wanting to do a live but i’ve been trying to do videos, a bit of relaxing & just haven’t had the chance to wack one up! Will definitely be one soon
love it mate, cracking Bass, ive parked up there loadsa times and always thought it looked decent, might take a trip down there soon, looks nice and easy for me young lad to try if he dont need to cast that far
Hello hatchie mate, my mum cooked the bass whole while I was out so there won’t be a catch and cook haha! The microphone is a Hollyland Lark 2 mic. I’ve switched away from the Rode microphones as alot of people seem to be having problems with them including me
There's a lot to like about your content good varied baits etc. And you show how to bait up effectively. Us viewers like the details the what how and why. You already know this I'm sure but dropping a live fish 4ft on it's head onto pebble beach floor is probably best avoided / not shown. You clearly didn't do it on purpose but edit it out next time should it happen again. Apart from showing respect to the poor fish by holding it more firmly but you'll have to agree that It also doesn't help the sea angling movement's cause against the animal cruelty anti fishing movement. Us Sea Anglers and the sport generally is a positive force for and has done a lot for species understanding protection and management. But clips like that are a bad optic. But well done lovely bass and keep it going. Love that pink weight what is it and why do use that specific type.
Hello mate! Thanks alot for the constructive comment! I really appreciate it! I try my hardest to ensure proper fish care is taken & I also try my hardest on this platform and others to inform people of proper fish care too! It wasn’t my finest moment dropping the bass in the heat of the moment but it was quickly dispatched to take home after the clip was recorded! I will think about cutting something like that out next time as you said if it happens! The pink weight is from cweights.co.uk & its a luminous lead so at night it will glow in the dark & during the day it will stand out! You can get them in all different colours & sizes but they are there to try and increase your chances of catching a fish as they may be interested in what it is!
@jackhaskins9394 from what i’ve read you aren’t allowed to use sandeels as bait from a boat but the rules dont extend to fishing off the shore for bass. It just recommends putting them back, not enforcing it.
@@FishingwithMattUK that is correct you always shouldn’t be targeting them in there April and November, I personally always release if it’s a nursery but if you take one for the plate it doesn’t bother me in the slightest! Nice video

@@FishingwithMattUK to be fair that whole island is a bass nursery i know your not meant to target bass in the channels or harbour
