I ran Loch Ness in 2019, hoping to beat 5 hours and everything was going well until 18 miles at Dores, where the never-ending uphill climb starts. It was a killer! But great marathon and really well organised and I can definitely recommend. Inverness and the surrounding area is one of my favourites places here in the UK. Glad you enjoyed it (definitely type 2 fun!) and hope you get the chance to go back and experience it again.
It is such an amazing race! The views are spectacular and yes! that climb! 😳 but we got through it in the end! thank you so much Adrian and congrats on your Loch Ness Marathon! it's not an easy one that's for sure! 😊
Congratulations!! Realy nice to see your video. I did Loch Ness as my first ever marathon this year. I am so happy with my time of 4:18 🏅🦕🏃🏻♀️😍 It was so scenic & beautiful but also so hard! The last 10km where so mental and where walking and running. I feld my legs and muscles for a week. Walking in the first 2 days and sitting down and standing up my upper legs felt on fire sometimes.
Thank you Peggy and double congratulations to you for running your first marathon and the Loch Ness Marathon! It was amazing and so challenging absolutely! The pain was insane afterwards haha especially going down the stairs for me 😆 Do you think you'll be running more marathons in the future? 😊
@@peggy2921 Great plan! Good luck with all your training and the next marathon 😊 I have a few races already lined up and definitely going to do another marathon next year at some point
Everyone has bad run todays, so annoying when it happens on a race day! But you've proved you can do it even when it gets tough. Congrats on another marathon!
@@ErikaMarucci also I took a peek at the results and your chip time is 4:42:05 which is generally the time people use for their time rather than gun time as you don't cross the line as soon as the gun goes off!
You trained hard for the event know Italy was flat terrain started to run out of energy but came back to finish I am sure there was a lot that didn't finish besides you ran alone not knowing anyone except your parents at the end of the race. You showed a lot of courage and strength to get thru the marathon.

@@ErikaMarucci Yes. Probably around spring time but then I wil choose a more flatter course and try to hit 4 hours
