If mysticism is the art of union with reality Zevi, would an awareness of the purely descriptive nature of any word enable union through a pause in the unwitting psychological projection of words as definitions of any object or experience? Is the real mystery of creation not God but You? Like every human being you think, talk & walk without knowledge & awareness of how you do being human. And has humanity reached an era of development where our extraordinary capacity for adaptive behaviours needs to be balanced by adaptive realizations that like Socrates advised, takes us beyond presumptions of knowing?

At 1:32:22 or so Zevi is saying that he wants to see religious people being fully devoted to their religions whilst at the same time embracing the mystical path of unity with Reality.
This sounds so nice and warm.
The question is, how practical is this?
Religion isn’t like language. Religion has dogma, tradition, custom and much besides that often creates division.
In Chassidic mystical teachings the soul of the Jew originates from a more lofty level in the Divine than the soul of the non Jew. How would mysticism overcome that kind of division.
Unless Zevi is advocating for a re-reading of many religious texts in light of a more unified, mystical approach?
I don't want to take the liberty of speaking for Zevi here, but I would say that he almost is advocating for what you write about in your last sentence. Zevi is an advocate of perennialism, which explains how his approach has been influenced.
Mysticism is about letting the sense in your head make itself.
