- Now, every time the Kenya Defence Forces capture a town inside Somalia in their ongoing war against the rag tag militia Alshabab, the work of pacification of such a settlement begins immediately. After the capture of Afmadhow, the Kenya Defence Forces and the Somali National Army, have now embarked on coordinating the process of bringing normalcy back to the town that for some time now served as a logistics base for the Alshabab militia. In part two of "the journey to Afmadhow" our reporter Willis Raburu who was embedded with the Kenya Defence Forces , tells of the suffering of the residents under the Alshabab's rule and the resolve by Kdf troops to march on towards the all important port of Kismayu.

Al-Shabaab are a funny bunch. Just the other day they said that they still occupy Afmadhow and that the KDF was outside the town scared to move in. I see different. I see the cowards ran for their lives before the heat arrived.

I support KDF and wish them nothing but the best, but I do think propaganda videos should come from the GoK and the media should ask the tough questions and try as much as they can to be neutral (no matter how hard that is), it seems the Kenya media already wearing military fatigues is an extension of the KDF, which sadly makes them fair game to the militants. PEACE !!

hey, guys why somali pple always talk abt kenya ? try to speak ethiopian troops, try to speak uganda troops.
