The mobs of cattle also have to regularly checked as well as regularly mustered for checking and marking as well as moving to fresh pasture for grazing as the old one is eaten out and to spell that area so that it is not overgrazed beyond what the fragile land can be expected to recover from. Seventeen thousand head of cattle cannot be expected to look after themselves and make themselves ready for market. With eleven workers on that station that makes each worker responsible personally and collectively for about one and a half thousand head of cattle. Would you like to be personally responsible for over one thousand head of cattle?
