- This thing is so frickin' odd compared to normal TL Toy Santas.
I got the legs functional now!
I replaced the whole gearbox from a duplicate green shirt Hip Shakin' Santa. (and a leg moving pole)
I did a few other things like replace the dancing motor pully and gave both mechs new belts, the originals were literal rubber bands... 😭☠️
I still do have it's original box btw.
It's a bootleg of the TL Toys Hip Shakin' Santas.
Actually, this particular one by Xing Fa is a bootleg of itself, 💀 a company called "Kuang Dyi" were the first to bootleg off the TL Toy Santa with their Action Santa. However, other weird companies like Xing Fa started to knockoff Kuang Dyi and they all started making extremely weird, mega low quality, and rather interesting pieces. lmao!!

This one is Xing An? I had no idea at all, I did notice the extremely crusty and grainy audio though
It's extremely similar to the Kuang Dyi one ye. Lmao
The audio is way more compressed and factored.
And the leg programming is different too.
Besides that, everything's the exact same, including the box.
I also believe this would've been a version with the LEDs on the base, but they were just left out. (Likely still has programming on the IC.)
I'll be damned, so this is a knock off of a knock off. Don't you just hate (or love) it when you make a product that gets knocked off and then that item that knocked yours off gets knocked off?
Anywho, you said you replaced the gearbox with one from a product from TL Toys, so the joke's on them. Let's just say I'm glad they are not alive, otherwise they'd be arguing constantly within that festive body.

You can definitely tell we treat knockoff products very differently compared to most toy/merchandise collectors. Lmao 🤪 They would usually say "Don't ever buy that" we're the complete opposite, and they can actually still sell well too.

I have a personal limit on types of knockoff items, I'd only really want to get Singing Fish, and these TL Toy ones. As they're the most interesting towards me, so I'm willing to put good effort in them.
I'm just as happy at this ones repair like the Santa suit Hip Shakin' Santa. I see I'm improving on these nightmare to work on TL mechanisms.
