Captain, The video was excellent. It's still something we, as viewers, just don't get to see living inland. The QCH is a beautiful remembrance of your Friend. Thanks for sharing the footage and the backstory. 😎
Hey enjoying all the new videos cap,, when you roll south again google mounds crevasse it’s where the leveee broke in 1927 and scoured a giant hole still visible today. The drone footage would be cool af.. I worked on the bank grader for awhile out of ensley
One of my best friends Captain Tim Bennett from Pearl River, La. Is the Captain on the Quinton Craig Harris now, so he will appreciate the video share and story behind the video. Thanks,
How do you hold position like that? It appears you have nosed the forward barge against the bank/beach and are maintaining a steady forward thrust as the current is running the opposite direction. Also, can you see the depth at the front of the most forward barge?
new here so hopefully my question is not too noobish LOL the beginning of the video... is that what you might think of as parallel parking for river traffic ?
Capt, what was going on just north of the mouth of Lake Ferguson at Greenville Thursday afternoon? Mat laying? Was that MV Mississippi? I could just see it from Warfield park.
Awesome video Captain Kyle, I was wondering with the vessel your on now what commodities do you move with those barges it's long and narrow. Stay Safe Capt.👍🇺🇸
I remember when that was the s/r kentucky, for exxon. They have 14-16 people on there. Baton rouge to memphis, with 12 barges.. pushed alot of oil.. I miss the exxonn benefits they had for the employees... excellent retirement..

That is left descending or “east bank”. There are lots of sand bars on Lower Mississippi River. Yes… More of them show with the water at extreme lows. Looking like next week or two that hurricane path with dump water throughout Ohio River valley. It will rise again. 👍🏻
That was a very kind tribute you gave of Mr Harris. I’m sure his family will appreciate it. That stretch of river looks super shallow.
when you hang up your captains hat, you could always go into narrating video. Your voice is perfect.

It must be a great honor to have a boat named after you? I bet you would enjoy running it. Okc saying hi.
Hey Cap, this is a great video man. Please do some more drone vids. Keep up the excellent work!!!!!
With those shots you can get perspective of how large and broad that bar in the river is and how much larger the river is when the water level is up.
We are glad you can get it up. Lower quality cell services ce is just part of it. Stay safe and have fun, thanks for the vid!

Yes, and yes.

Lots of “bottom” showing.
If you are speaking of exposed sand. 👍🏻

The M/v Quentin Harris looks like a St. Louis Ship boat. Do you know what it was named previously? Horsepower 6000 - 7000?
Golden eagle Boo c b 8,000
Golden Eagle.. was thinking it’s a 8000-9000 hp vessel
