    Is it strong enough to use an extractor bit to remove a stripped screw? Is this model still in production? I see it online but am worried about getting stale batteries.

    Your description is misleading. WU131 is the version with impact function, not two batteries.

      It looks like the previous comments are deleted now. But I actually use it in many of my videos filmed after this one (obviously not in the ones before). I also specifically show myself using it on an IKEA chair assembly in this video too (~8:05).
      You can see me using it here -
      th-cam.com/video/3hgsm2L_02o/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/KOqWxpngqRY/w-d-xo.html
      In those videos I also caution people to be careful about using power drivers with particle board furniture and cheap fasteners, so thats why I still use a manual screw driver to start and finish most fasteners.

      @@CluelessDad I'm not the guy, who disbelieved you:) I know you're using it. The Russian guy who were here before, was really aggressive, and I believe he wanted to advertise Milwaukee, but then his comment just disappeared. Regarding my question about WU131, I deleted it, since your reply was incorrect, and it could potentially mislead others. The WU131 - is the impact version of WU130. So, what you've got is WU130 with 2 batteries. Same set, I've ordered for myself. Cheers:)

      @@CluelessDad you're right, particle boards are easy to lose their internal structure when too much torque is applied thru power tools. The last turns of the screws are better be done manually to ensure you're not overtightening them. I would also add, then when screwing into a plastic insert, you should really go low speed, because higher speeds melt down the plastic surface inside and the resulting joint won't be secure enough.

      @@atexnik ha. thanks.
      i think his account must have gotten deleted.... the comments and all completely disappeared.
      OK, i'm confused about WU130 vs 131, mine is a 130 apparently, but at least that page from their website doesn't clarify that difference with the impact hammer (there is a hammer icon in the graphic though). I'll have to go look at one at the hardware store next time to see the difference side by side...

      @@CluelessDad I actually work as a furniture assembler and I was looking to replace a Deko screwdriver that I have here and that is defective because I abused it. If Deko did well, this Worx will surely get the job off hand. I've already ordered on Aliexpress and I'm waiting for the arrival. Thank you for your attention.

    At 5:55 you are trying to make the speed vary by selecting the levels of this crown, but it is actually a crown that controls the torque at the selected speed, ie: if you are to tighten a screw on plastic parts you can decrease the torque that will be applied on it by selecting the torque applied by the crown, in this case the 1 is the weakest torque and the 20 the strongest. It is an interesting function when making delicate screwing.
    I bought one of these on Aliexpress and I'm waiting for the arrivalI

    is the chuck made of metal or plastic?

    • @CluelessDad
      @CluelessDad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      the part that grabs the bit is metal. it has a plastic grip around the outside... but basically metal.
