They really weren't lying when they said this is the biggest Mario Party yet and this game feels like a combination of ideas from all the Mario Party games
Until you play other Mario Party clones, you truly realize how the Mario Party dev teams have mastered in communicating the minigames because even without reading the instructions you can tell what the objective of the minigames are.
Yeah, screw those dumb clones. Maybe remind me of some, and be specific... you know, so I can be truly angry. Not to look them up and play them.

I just hope they dial it back on the animations. Even though I like Superstars, it moves SO SLOW with how long and drawn out animations are for things like getting an item, landing on a space, etc.

-Allies are back from Super Mario Party
-When passing them, they will give 5 coins to whoever reached them, then start a minigame
-The person who reaches the ally will get a small headstart for the minigame, but the winner is the one who will ultimately be joined by the ally
-Having an ally allows you to buy 2 items or 2 stars during a single turn
-Dueling Glove is back so *maybe* we'll be able to fight over allies like in Star Rush? (SMP only allowed it in Partner Party)

-According to the Japanese website for the game, Allies have their own character specific traits?
-Having an Ally causes a space to trigger twice, both good AND bad. See Luigi at 9:13 landing on a red space and losing 6 coins total because of his Ally.
Mario Party Superstars had the duel glove. It could just be to initiate a regular duel

While the Allies seems a lot more balanced this time around, I still wonder if there's way to move them around rather than just one player having an ally at all times.
I wish they bring back the Character Dice Blocks or at least have it as a separate mode
I think that by character traits the website means that they have the unique ability to double everything, wich is exclusive of the allies

No it's not cool when it's the 4th or the 5th time we see a mini-games which is here since Mario Party 1, they can brought old mini-games that we have see only one time but no they recycle the same mini-games

This is looking to none the best Mario party ever. A good mix of superstars and super Mario party. Keeping the spaces and rules while having brand new and similar mini games. Love the UI too.

Also everyone has a different personality from the other (Nick Is VERY toxic, Brent is a Tryhard, Vernias rages and Sophist causes Chaos) so they have all sorts of funny momentsnyou can imagine.

While everyone is talking about Pauline joining the roster (which I am ALSO happy about), I'm just ecstatic to see that Steamer didn't get replaced by some generic train! Similar to how Woody and his dark counterpart in Woody Woods weren't replaced by basic enemies standing on faceless trees back in Superstars. Oooh, and I'm also glad that hexes from DS are returning. (assuming they're called that here)

I have a feeling that at Mario’s Rainbow Castle, the background music will change in respect to which character on the top of the castle is facing the front. Being noted that when Bowser is facing the front, the clouds will turn dark and have thunderstorms and the item shop will have Kamek take over.

The fact that nobody can tell whether this is Charles or Afghani (it is all Afghani) alone proves that he's doing a phenomenal job with these voices. His Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi are spot on here. His Wario even improved, not that it was ever bad it was just noticeably different in Move It. Here it sounds nearly identical to Martinet and hearing his Waluigi for the first time is awesome. It sounds so good, dude is very much a worthy successor to Charles. People are lying to themselves if they say he's bad as any of them or not as good.
@@chrange9714 i can hear a pretty good difference whether Charles or Kevin voices them, even before Charles's retirement went official, i even thought the voice was sounding different and a bit off when the Mario Wonder trailer released.
But i think some voice clips of Charles Martinet is reused in this game. Here are a few examples: 0:35 - 0:44, 1:01 and 1:25

@@chrange9714 its not even confirmed that Kevin voiced everything here. Well sure i was able to tell when Kevin voiced Mario in this game. But the voice clips that sound like reused voice clips of Charles sound identical to voice clips that were in Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars.

This looks AWESOME! Glad we’re getting returning minigames and Pauline back in here as well. I also do hope we can play most of these modes online with friends (I don’t see how koopathlon would work with friends tbh).
Wow there are a lot of mechanics at play here. It seems like they are bringing back the partner system from the first Super. I’m not sure how similar it will be, but at the very least it looks like the character specific dice thing is a thing of the past which is good. And the more partners you get the more items and stars you can buy?! That’s a game changer. Not sure if it will just be for that one board or the whole game but that’s a very interesting way to bring it back.
Also it looks like they are also bringing back character spaces from 5-8 and DS. Now that’s intriguing. Again not sure if that’s game wide or just that one board but it really shows how they want to put a bit of everything in here.
It seems like Pauline was put in because there are some scenarios where a specific character can’t be played. Bowser doesn’t seem to be playable on Mario’s Rainbow Castle or King Bowsers Keep since he is on part of those boards as well as being a boss fight on Koopathalon. Also I can’t imagine Yoshi would be playable on whatever this is 1:40.
Speaking of Koopathalon looks like a lot of fun. I was scared it would just be an online minigame player leader board but no. This really seems like a dedicated mode for online play and a larger player count. This is how you innovate for modern times.
Some minigames are being recycled. And not just from old games but from the very previous one. I’m fine with it. With all the new stuff they added a couple of reused minigames to save on resources is fine by me. Bumper Balls and Shy Guy Says are always good picks . Plus two full boards are being reused so it’s not the game is entirely new stuff anyway. Let’s just hope all the ones they bring back are good ones and not the blasted control stick spinning games again.
Koopathalon is an updated version of Coinathalon from Mario Party Star Rush
I actually thought character specific spaces were only for the race kart track (sounds dumb I know but I wouldn't put it past nintendo) but at 7:57, you can see a Hex placed on a red space! So it seems like they're available on all boards.
I wouldn’t disqualify Yoshi being in that minigame, you could have elephant mario riding Yoshi in mario wonder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
it could be like mario party 1 because on a scraped minigame where yoshi had an invisable model on him

Ooo this looks so good! What I am most interested in, is the knowing more about allies (I noticed Luigi got affected by the red spaces twice when he had Yoshi). It also seems that you can encounter these allies, and if you win you can obtain them (Well I couldn’t translate the text so I’m unsure about that part. I can wait to see new items and board mechanics. I noticed that there would be board-changing items (The Wiggler Bell, The Lagoon Couch, The Conveyer Belt Lever, and the Quad Dice). I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS GAME!

Some of the new minigames look really fun. Happy to see more of the remakes of Rainbow Castle and Western Land too. The Wiggler board is still my favorite of the new boards! This looks like a great Mario Party and I like the emphasis on animations and moving around this time around.

But aside from that, this Mario Party actually looks revolutionizing, we have
*New voice clips for almost all the characters, finally a breath of fresh air
*A much more vibrant UI, the other ones had bland UI
*The view of the boards are very immersive! It's not top-down view like the other games and actually makes the dynamic of the board much more better!
*Speaking of boards, the boards look EXTREMELY better than the plain generic boards of the first game
*NEW LOSING ANIMATIONS, Super Mario Party resued every victory and losing animation from 10 and made them old
It's quite insane how Super Mario Party was supposed to be the "return to form" but this game is meant for that title. Super Mario Party doesn't hold a candle to old Mario Parties.
They probably give the losers coins to encourage everyone to try their best, even if someone is clearly winning the minigame.
I still think the UI looks pretty boring. And the way the coin/star counters for everyone is displayed looks really overcrowded imo. It's hard for me to tell what each individual player has at a glance.
@@Aktedya1-jt7vw If they are going to give coins to losers, they should raise the star prices from 20 to 30, in the old games, only the winner got coins, and if losers get coins even if they lost, there should be an increase on the star price. As for the UI, it's good, I can't really disagree, but there's not enough color, especially when it says "start" or "win" they should've used the graphic from Mario Party Superstars since that one had color and referenced the old games, and when it comes to picking stuff, it's also pretty bland too.

I really wished here that the voice actor for Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi didn't change there until just after the Nintendo Switch 2 comes out onto the market. Then, I'd be okay with a new voice actor for those 4 characters as we would be in a new generation of Nintendo video game systems. I just want the voice actor for Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi to be *_consistent_* in all of the Nintendo Switch's video games - especially the Mario Party ones! 😮💨😞
