This is absolutely hands down the best video ever. You got to the point with no joking, cursing or trying to be cool so we could easily learn how to do this. I wish I could copy this and send to other videos that have so much crap on them and never really get to the point. Damn good job on this.
My apartment complex maintenance installed this in my bathroom and was driving me crazy with the setting it was on. This allowed me to adjust it the way I wanted so thank you so much!
Thank goodness, somebody who can explain it simply and clearly! Thank you! I have one of these switches in the place I moved into a few years ago. There were no instructions, and whatever I found online had that time was ridiculously confusing so I put up with the settings as they are. The bulbs give off a lot of heat, and now that it's summer time it was driving me crazy that that light would stay on for half an hour if visitors didn't turn it off when they left the washroom. It got too warm in there, and I'm struggling to keep the place cool as it is. I have now set it to go off after 1 minute. This makes me very happy LOL it's the little things ☺️♥️
Thank you so much for this tutorial -- I got my switch setup exactly how I wanted! Here's a summary to keep on file: TIMEOUT MODE: (Hold main button ONLY) 1 Blink = Test Mode 2 Blinks = 1 Minute Timeout 3 Blinks = 5 Minutes Timeout 4 Blinks = 15 Minutes Timeout 5 Blinks = 30 Minutes Timeout SENSOR SENSITIVITY: (Hold main button AND hidden button) 1 Blink = Low Sensitivity 2 Blinks = High Sensitivity SENSOR MODE: (Hold hidden button ONLY) 1 Blink = Turn on automatically when motion is sensed 2 Blinks = Manual on but auto off (Vacancy Mode) 3 Blinks = Auto on w/Daylight sensing, switch will "learn" over time Cheers! -- Jason :)
Thank you for this video, I just hooked up this outlet switch today at someone’s house. Client was very happy but I couldn’t take all the credit without this video! Have a blessed day
Yes, I probably could have figured all of this out by reading the manual. But it's soooooo much easier to be shown. So glad you posted this. Thanks. Edit: Something about this light that I like... I put on vacancy mode because it's on a bathroom fan and don't always need it. But after I manually turn it on, it goes into motion mode to where it stays on as long as there's motion, and goes into timer mode when I leave the room. I think that's awesome.
Thank you SO much. These darn printed instructions confused this old dude but one search and your video popped up first. Your demonstration was perfect as was your voice. Which matters too right... Thanks again!! Lutron should just pay you and put your link in #7 instead lol...

Haha!! Prior to finding this video I ended up putting a telescoping pointer stick to reach the switch. You could do that, or wave your arms from the floor up above your head and sometimes that would do the trick. 😂 It's the first time I've lived in a place with a windowless bathroom, I can't recommend it. And seriously,1 minute, who invented that?! 😆 I'm so glad I discovered this video, I think it was a couple of years ago. I wanted to change the setting again today and glad I have this "saved". I could have sworn I wrote it all down the first time, but I couldn't find my notes so I will definitely do that when I've sent this comment.

Thank you so much!!! I have a closet with this switch, and lately, it's been keeping itself on, and my newborn has been waking up through the night because it's not completely dark. It's also waking me up when you can hear it click on and then the whole door is glowing.
Oh my gosh! You just made my day!! I am temporarily using our pocket room for my "office" and I was getting so annoyed because I had to keep waving my hand every minute to turn the light back on LOL 😄 I have been trying to figure out how to change the settings for the past month and this was just what I needed! And I love that you got straight to the point! Thanks so much!
Dear Zeth, Thank you so much for the simple and straightforward video! I was able to reset the sensor to bypass the motion sensor, especially at the middle of the night when I go to the bathroom. It is because the sudden bright lights turned on really bother my eyes. Now you have helped me solve the problems. Salute to you, Seth! Melody
Thank you for a very professional and concise video. I searched the Lutron site and it was worthless in trying to find this information. Again thank you so much
Thank you! My office light turns off all the time if I am typing a lot and not moving too much. Drives me crazy and I am only two months in. SO glad for this video. My coworkers think I am crazy for yelling at might light to "TURN ON" all the time!
I put mine in a few years ago and it worked fine until a couple of months ago. It was set for 5 minutes but I'd occasionally find it on for much longer. At the time I just thought it was 'planned obsolescence' and didn't investigate - the synonym for that is "lazy". Tonight it happened again and I found this video that refreshed my memory of how to set it - and it's working just fine. I'm thinking someone in the household was playing "button-button-press-on-the-button". Thanks
I appreciate that. Great instruction. I was hoping, however, there was a setting to be able to turn it on and stay on when needed. I have this in my garage, and if I'm ever working on a project or under a car at night, it often shuts off me and then it's pitch black. Kind of a pain to get up and walk over to the light so it sees me again. I'll just make sure I'm on the 30-minute timer setting. Thanks again. It's nice to see someone explain things clearly.
Thank you so much for posting this video, I had long thrown away the directions and of course I'm a man and reading directions would require me to throw away my man card so you're a verbal and visual on this video helped me immensely 💯👍🏻✌🏻👌🏻👊🏻💪🏻
Thank you so much it was driving me crazy having to wave my arms every minute. We have a really old model without the secondary button like the manual shows, it's good to know this works on a few versions.
Great explanation, everything made way more sense once I watched this. I was expecting to have to press the button x number of times after holding it down to get the setting but that's not how it works. Then I was thinking okay maybe you hold it and it blinks 1x, 2x, or 3x in succession upon each setting like one, one-two, or one-two-three...nope! Was very confused--instructions are non-descript and it doesn't seem that intuitive, but this video cleared it all up! Honestly Lutron should pay you for this video and then put it on their website and/or official YT channel. 👌
I've watched probably 10,000 TH-cam videos and this is one of the most extreme best. I'm installing this switch with no instruction-paper and this answers all questions.
