I can't listen to this just once. Usually it gets repeated at least 4 times. Cranked to 11. Simply incredible. One of the best performances I've seen anywhere. Only discovered Joe 8 months ago and he's become one of my favourite artists.
There's nothing Joe can't do, blues on his own or with Beth Hart, Classic heavy rock style with Black Country Communion, playing in Rock Candy Funk Party or doing a country bluegrass twist like this he can do it in all styles flawlessly.
What's amazing is how Joe keeps completely recreating his songs in his various live sets. Each one is unique with totally different bandsets, mates, and instruments. Complete master of music this man is. The best there is.
Fantastic version and sound, I've been listening and watching it on repeat for over an hour. I love the intensity, the gradual build-up that gives this song all its power. The intonation, the interpretation, the way of playing it, the chords, the tonality, everything is there. Absolutely great. And I take a bow to the musicians who follow Joe. Well done guys, very well done 👍👍👍👍👍
my boy's close but closing in on bonamassa lol...but he's has quite the fingers ...for small small town guitarist Jonas esquega...is his name ....self taught Iike alot of other greats
Incredible. What amazes me most is that the song itself is yet another blues song and is not groundbreaking in any way.... but the way he delivers it is absolutely, breathtakingly amazing. I could listen to this on repeat for days. It's perfect.
My grandpa is the only reason I have ever heard this song and I love that memory, is just us sitting in the den listening to this at full volume that the house would start to shake and we could never just listen to it once!💜
As far as I know… these guys had only JUST met each other like 3,4 days prior to recording this. This concert is the greatest showcasing of guitar playing that has ever been. IN MY OPINION!! To be able to play those tasty licks, so flawlessly on varying different Acoustics… I’ve never seen anything like it. Correct me if I’m wrong, and please show me who is better. Until then… fucking BRAVO 🙏
I love how they put one of the stage lights right behind him, as the camera closes up in the beginning it looks and sounds like a train is sitting behind him. Awesome!
Joe's music hits you right in the heart and soul! Have this on DVD so I get to watch all I want! Just adore to see him setting there looking back at the band! Love all his expressions during this video! And I love the other musicians parts!
Joe B is an incredible artist. Slow Train comin'.... speaks to the imminent death we all face in this life. Makes you think long an hard about what your legacy will be when you leave this world. Live well lest your slow train arrives when you least expect it because it just may.
@@acousticshadow4032 You can always keep scrolling, but then again you sound like you have nothing better to do than troll youtube videos and make childish comments. Like Joe says, I'll cry for you just the same....
Joe is clearly alot more than just a guitarist. His musicianship is what I love about his stuff. Anyone can play the notes but a real musician brings those to life and Joe is clearly a generational phenom. I saw him in my home town Toronto a couple years ago and was amazed at the musicianship. The fast scales are one thing but how he brought those notes to life is really what sets him apart in my estimation.
This song immediately became one of my fav all time songs even before my 3 yr old grandson was doing his own train sounds to it in the back seat! Thanks Joe, you are an incredible performer ;)
Flew from Austin TX to Denver to see him - a 5000 seat setting and wonderful;. He does connect in the that setting. Seeing him again in Austin at the ACL theater - same size with excellent acoustics. This is definitely the way to see him.
I confess I'm mostly a modern country kind of person, but I listen to many other genres as well. When I ran into this on facebook..I was drawn to it! Love the sound of this version...
A blind nearly 21 year old that still wears a nappy and still uses a baby bottle with special fluids to stay alive I would never wish my life on anyone..
Saw this tonight in Tucson, electric guitar version, the light show was phenomenal, and I loved it. But missed my beloved Gerry on this number......Joe, what a show. Hey that rhymes!
Joe is a GOD when it comes to performing. I LOVE this MAN!!!!! I have been watching him since the year 2000 and he keeps amazing me year after year, so gifted and talented. Talk about belting out the notes, this man has a hell of a voice!!!! Can't wait to see him next month in Portland OR. YES!!!!!!!
I went to Arcimboldi theatre in Milan only to see JB to play his electric guitar but...after the first stage where he played only with acustic guitar i was shocked..i ran as fast as possible to buy the album An acoustic evening at Vienna opera house. I hope i'll see JB to play again, and again then again. Top Blues!!!!!
Joe stated in Guitar Player he likes playing smaller venues. He likes playing theaters, opera houses. He better connects with audience and fans. Yea, you are right! Buy the whole dvd & cd collection for the price of one show. I do love JB. Hard to seperate from that cash. Keep Jammin! Enjoy Life!
Only just discovered this guy, but I am well impressed. There ain't many musicians that make the hair on the back of my neck stand up these days, but Joe Bonamassa sure does!
He's really coming into his own these days. He is and will continue to influence the blues rock genre for years to come. Stay tuned folks. I know I will.
The clarity of this recording is music to my ears. Joe Bonamassa is proving himself to be one of the greatest guitar players in this generation. And to those who scoff and say others are better, it's not a competition. This guy just makes us fans smile. There's plenty of room for more smile-makers. The more the merrier. But don't sign on here just to give a verbal slam. It just makes you look bad.
Joe Bonamassa is one bad cat! Seriously talented and clearly has put in the work to perfect his craft. Really enjoying his music... he will be in Denver April 23rd! Very rich and soulful guitar playing!
This guy can really fuckin sing tho. It marvels me every time how much control he has especially after finding out he barely sang at all until his mid twenties.
What I have listened to and put on TH-cam and my Ipod, I like this very much, take it everywhere I go, just to have something to listen to and ease my mind.
This is the first song that I heard of Joe Bonamassa and I have been hooked ever since on his music. By the way I am an 84 year old woman.
Ha jb has many gran fans as i call myself
Me to the same😄
Me too ,except I'm 48
He has many different version of the way he does this song .this one is the only one that rings my bell✌️😎

I am in Country-Blues-Rock Haven...
Joe Bonamassa is a Fantastic musician!
I am loving the Ride....:-)
I can't listen to this just once. Usually it gets repeated at least 4 times. Cranked to 11. Simply incredible. One of the best performances I've seen anywhere. Only discovered Joe 8 months ago and he's become one of my favourite artists.
can play absolutely any style to perfection.
My stereo goes to 12, LOL
It does seem to be quite infectious. If it's not the cure, it's pretty dang close to it.
Absolutely flawless tempo, groove and mastery of all instruments. It's the hard to believe how good it is
I love the electric version, but that fiddle doing the train whistle is fantastic!!!
There's nothing Joe can't do, blues on his own or with Beth Hart, Classic heavy rock style with Black Country Communion, playing in Rock Candy Funk Party or doing a country bluegrass twist like this he can do it in all styles flawlessly.
I just found this song today. My life feels incomplete. I can’t believe I am just finding this man. My hair is standing up!
Oh, how I envy you. First discovering the genius that is Joe Bonamassa is quite an excellent journey.
Cheers.
Achromaniac I bought everything!!! He’s a strong member in my blues playlist!! This one is my favorite!!!

Bought this DVD recently.... the word "AMAZING" is probably one of the biggest understatements of the year....
This, this is the first ever video and song I heard from Joe long ago, and from that time I can't imagine my playlist without his masterpieces.
this Version is amazing!! Love this one so much... his voice is also incredible...
JUST GREAT!!
Yes it is. He has a great voice
Reminds me of the intro to FLOUR LARD COFFEE SUGAR (1953) by Lucky White and the Dude Ranch Playboys with the fiddle's opening up the tune.
That violinist is incredible.
Best for the Best!

My favorite, so far, Joe Bonamassa song. I absolutely love this acoustic guitar live version. Really "feel" the music.
I've seen Joe Bonamassa in person 2x and each time was beyond EXCELLENT
@debbie hello, how are you doing it's nice meeting you here.
I love how they put one of the stage lights right behind him, as the camera closes up in the beginning it looks and sounds like a train is sitting behind him. Awesome!
Joe's vocal ability more than matches his guitar skills, and he's a phenomenal guitarist.

+Justin Rampy good analysis :)
You sound like those two Jehovah's Witnesses I threw off my porch - into a Slow Train comin'. Save the sermon for church, Justin.
@@acousticshadow4032 Juvenile comment. Nothing said was remotely equivalent to a sermon, nor religious in basis.

Saw Joe last September in Cardiff with my daughter Rose. We were spellbound and have been fans ever since!
I hope Joe does more acoustic shows--they are my favorite. Our whole family likes the acoustic show at Vienna
