What a huge turnaround by the Sydney Swans! More than halfway through the second quarter, they were down by a whopping 35 points! From that point onwards, they crushed the Geelong Cats 107-42. Amazing turnaround. You don't often see THESE types of turnarounds. Geelong's poor form continues while Sydney are unstoppable since that loss to Richmond earlier on in the season. The Swans are flag favourites for a reason. Being two games clear on top of the ladder looks pretty damn good, doesn't it, Swans fans?

It’s unbelievable. I already thought Heeney, Gulden, and Warner were superstars, but this is on a whole other level. Heeney soon to be a norm smith medalist, and a Brownlow medalist!
I go for geelong, but the swans have been remarkable this season so far! At this point they deserve to be premiers.

The crazy thing is the swans depth. They will only improve. If they keep Warner, I can see them winning 3 or 4 flags the next five years. You can feel with all the contracts been signed that these boys know how special this groups is. All Sydney GF this year…

Swans always fold in Grand Finals tho. Comparable are Collingwood & Saint Kilda. Most Teams occasionally win a G.F 🤷 😶.
@@jimmyohara2601 Um no… Swans got pumped in their last GF because they were not very good… Previous swans teams in GF do not fold at all. 96 was an exception because the Kangaroos had elite team.
I would say the Swans have the most competitive, resilient culture in the AFL. No team comes back from double digit deficits more than the bloods.
The fact they have played in 6 grand finals since the turn of the century, is more than impressive.
One thing I am absolutely certain of is that next GF the swans play in, there will be no folding. That Geelong gf was an abnormality and was literally boys vs men. Now these boys are growing up.

As a cats fan I gotta say,that Amarty bloke is a weapon jeez where'd he come from
McDonald is tracking very well for a 22 year old key forward who usually takes the opposition key back plus after 12 games is on track for over 40 for the season
McLean is also more a utility do every thing player ultra reliable
I've been to several games this season. McDonald works hard off the ball. Now with Buddy gone he attracts the best defenders.

Last year I picked the Swans for 2024 Premiers. Lookin very promising for sure.
That was exhilarating! What a run home! First quarter and a half I was chewing the stuffing in the cushion! By the last quarter it was raining goals. Credit to Geelong, quality team - but CS can go batter a sav. 😁

There should be an argument over geelong fixing their 2nd quarters that let the opposition kick 5 goals+ in a row..it's not all about Sydney.. the cats have 2nd quarter issues for the past month

I wish jezza stayed in the forward line where he belongs..he could have been the difference to geelong winning..he goes in to the forward line in the 4th quarter and kicks a goal to keep geelong in it..stupid move to have him roam around up the ground
@@mx-bmx-lyfe I don't mind him moving up and down the ground if they absolutely need him to, because hes such a great kick, but it would be great if he could stay in the forward line for majority of the game, if geelong gets absolutely thrashed, which doesnt happen much, then i would be fine with him moving down a bit especially in the 4th quarter, but any other game he needs to stay in geelongs half of the ground.
@TedBonkers yeah..some of geelongs entry's in the forward 50 in the last quarter were horrible they needed to be better..they really did have a good chance at winning that game but oh well geelong is still in a good spot..just hope they reset and come out swinging with dangerfield healthy after the bye

Well they're definitely the best team in the AFL at the moment.....and it's not even close. They have the best and most talented list in the league and they play well as a team.
The swans are doing so well because everyone is doing their bit. The defenders are absolutely fantastic, especially the likes of Florent, Mcartin, and Melican. Our Mids are electric, Heeney, Gulden, and Warner are pivotal to our success, and the forwards are so much better than last year. Amartey is now a regular in the team, Papley can finish from everywhere, and we have Will Hayward for another 5 years, and he’s a gift from God. Up the swans!
Syd ducks have peaked way early plus cannot beat a Vic team on the MCG. Remember their last appearance on grand final day it was a pathetic performance lololololol. 😂
