Truelly this would be a masterpiece.. if the alien could be killed.. as imersion breaks down once you shoot it in thr mouth 18 times to no effect.. why didn't they just have a dozen aliens and then it would have been real brown pants time...
Ok so disregarding that these are somewhat clunky NPCs I’ll give a serious not a sarcastic answer. You are right, but… When you are really immersed in the game and you get caught up in the actual fear this game is designed to evoke when the xeno is chasing you, then get stuck in an vent and the alien is crawling after you. You have a revolver and you fumble the switch to molo(or whatever). Then see, if you as a human player wouldn’t take a shot at it, just hoping to scare it away somehow. In short, I think it is just what fear can do to people. So even the NPC s behaviour does not stick out as odd.
Firstly they don’t know that, they hear there’s some kind of thing, even an alien which in this universe no one has seen evidence if. Second it can clearly outrun and is also clearly much stronger so only chance has anyone has is shoot and pray it does something. That would be anyone’s reaction.
@@russ254 No , that's total bullshit . In the game there's a colony with a whole bunch of them . They could had create a reason for more aliens showing but no , they pulled some bullcrap that doesn't exist in the Alien lore . There's no bulletproof aliens in the movies . All of them can be killed with guns , the problem is the acid they have for blood

Мы же можем отпугивать его огнетушителем или взрывающимися канистрами, и впечатления это не портит. Абсолютно неуязвимый Чужой - это все же неестественно, вот трудноубиваемый да ещё прожигающий все своей кислотной кровью - это уже ближе к фильмам.

I still too scared of it. But i agree on this being masterpiece, not only as game but also as Alien installment.

@@russ254 I think it was confirmed the Aliens was not bulletproof but resistant enough that you would always die first.
