I’ve skated my entire life. At this point, I don’t know if it’s more embarrassing to get your ankles broke by a move, or just falling for no reason. I do both weekly
@@Jmulvez trust me I lose my voice almost every game watching this guy. Circles around the net 2-3 times, sharp turns, break ankles, never shoots or loses it. The occasional highlight reel goal never disappoints tho
@@Jmulvez its probably because hes right around ppg or just slightly above it most of the time. While he has good stats I dont think his stats are elite worthy like a mcdavid etc.
2:31 - As a hometown team, I feel really spoiled growing up watching the Sedin twins. This kind of play was not uncommon or rare, this was dam near every night, both players won the Hart trophy two different seasons and they ran the show when they were both on the ice and focused. Only twins could be at that level of communication without conversing.
Ngl him and Sorokin and a few others were hard carries these past few seasons. I hope that the Isles sign some good guys (either that or bring some of the promising prospects up to the NHL from the AHL) to possibly skate on his line and develop some good stuff.
3:20 DMac's just hits different the more you see it. He travelled all the way to Sweden and back just to work on his handles, and the outcome was literally this. It's especially shocking because he had never scored a game winner before, considering he didn't really score often. It was also the playoffs, so it was an extremely valuable goal, and it was major support for the Wings to win the cup in 1997. Also, for it's time, it was a HUGE deal that was ahead of it's time, and even though it's a common deke now, in the 90's-00's, that required the some of the BEST skills in the league.
Hockey ankle breakers are hilarious because sometimes it's legitimately a fancy move by the player with the puck and other times it's just someone falling for no reason.
I've done this video a while back, but i decided to clean it up and add some more clips to it! Hope you guys enjoyed it!
Hell yeah
If you do a part 2, Drake Batherson had an OT goal last year against new jersey on Ty smith. Thanks for the video as always! ^.^
Yessir delta
@@imknotdumm thank you! I can’t believe that goal isn’t talked about more
I've been waiting 4 years for a highlight and a video

As someone who can’t skate for shit, I just think it looks cool when someone gets dangled out and sent flying lol
I’ll tell you what sucks more than that… having both of them happen in a one minute interval
@@hockeyboys61 I do plenty of that 😂 I still try to play like I’m 18, but my legs don’t communicate with my brain as fast as they used to
Getting your ankles broken isn’t as bad in hockey, but getting dangled passed or getting blown up is
I can't stop laughing after I saw this!
1:40 bro had the cameraman’s ankles broke
LMAO good call!
This was the probably the best clip. That defending player looked like a marionette connected to Klingberg’s stick.
I remember watching this live and just losing my mind, and the camera made it 100x more hilarious.
Get an education.
that pettersson move against the oilers is sooo nasty. one of my many fav petey moments
I mean it looks nice, but he botched 2 scoring chances
Then breaks his own ankles 🤣
Barzal has like 80 more clips to choose from 😂😂 he does this almost every game. His turns are elite
I wish there were more clips out there! So hard to find actual video of it
he would get way more highlight reels if he would shoot the fucking puck more 🥲 hes shown he has a good wrist shot too he just doesnt use it

Nice to see all the Makar clips in this. He breaks more ankles every season than most players do in a career.
Oh my gosh, these are hilarious 😂. It’s like NBA ankle-breakers times 10X, because then the guy goes flying way past his opponent. 👍
So Glad to see this, it reminds me of hockey...
there are very few reminders in the middle of august lol
0:01 i think stammer just killed a man
looks like it 🤣🤣
That last one was my clip! 😁
Thank you for sharing it for more people to see! Quite a cool play
You could make a whole compilation of datsyuk breaking ankles lol Dude was unreal!
Datsyuk? Are you kidding? Datsyuk was trash, he could break ankles against F-tier Blues players sure but that's about it.
@@HotCoco_ you don’t know puck

Good LORD look at my boy Barzal. 5 clips in a row of breaking ankles. That's why he's my favorite Isles player!

His edgework and speed are absolutely fantastic. He makes shaking off defenders look easy.
Decided to watch this after I sprained my ankle in a football game 😂
get well soon!

As soon as I saw "ankle breaker" I thought of that datsyuk deke on couture
5:18 - Nailed it with the song!
Makar breaking ankles like its an art.
Datsyuk might have the greatest hands in NHL history.
No question!
Best hands in history hands down
Sure, if you ignore pretty much every other player that's ever been in hockey. Datsyuk was a chump.
@@HotCoco_ when I’m in a not knowing puck challenge and my opponent is you
Was waiting for that Patrick Kane clip at the end
The fact Nathan mackinnon and cale makar are on the same team makes me so happy as a lifelong Avs fan. 😂😂
wish cale was on my team so i got to watch 82 games a year
1:49 that "did he ever" is the funniest thing in this video lmfao just so subtle
All these guys are amazing… Mackinnon is my favorite. But all of these dudes are just fantastic
Love ur vids
Forsberg with 2 ankle breaks in the same shift 😆
And both on the same guy!
Best thing you’ll hear “What a play, What a goal!! Oh my Connor Mcdavid”
Especially because that was after he came back from an injury and he was only like 19 there.

5:18 the in-arena music is perfect lol
1:49 How much I miss it Thank you RJ
1:30 getzlaf and gibson doin the same thing
idk why but the thumbnail makes mathew barzal look like he's part of a meme clip 😂
You could have a whole video of just mat barzal doing this lol
Fr haha
alternate title: Matt Barzal stealing ankles
“Baroke his frickin ankles”
Alternative Title: Pavel Datsyuk Highlight Reel
Getzlaf looking seriously gassed in OT. For a few of these
"He broke his fricken ankles" hahaha
Pettersson breaking ankles than breaking his own
NHL game over moments would be sick
I’m sure you could do a whole video with just McDavid 😂
2nd clip Datsyuk turned the Wings' color commentator into Krusty the Clown
Hey delta I have a suggestion for a video and that is best windmill glove saves
Pettersson ankle broke himself as well 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
4:23 Maximum effort......... how smooth is THAT?!?🥳🧐
I feel like Forsberg and Barzal are two of the most underrated guys in the league, i noticed how flashy they were at the all star game
You also forgot Drake Batherson’s OT goal last season versus NJD, that goal was also really filthy
feel bad for Barzal, feel like he would be a 100 point guy on most other teams, but the Islanders structure makes him more of a 60-65 point guy
0:17 commentator was flabbergasted.. no words to be said
I love ankle breakers
I love the fan reaction from, " can't believe he broke his "f" ankle " that was unexpected
Here before viral
already knew this would be full of datsyuk 💀
Barzal break peoples ankles like it’s nothing game in and game out
Forsberg is the most criminally underrated player of all time
Can you do missed hits? Like people just plowing themselves into the boards
4:23 like a cartoon that reverse. Hardly looks real. Incredible the lower body strength of hockey players.
I love how half of these were players trying to stop and fell while trying to stay on his man
Hockey ankle breakers are hilarious because sometimes it's legitimately a fancy move by the player with the puck and other times it's just someone falling for no reason.
"dipsy doodled his way in..." well alright.
My fav of this past season was when Dahlin made Weegar eat the boards.
3:18 I think getzlaf toe hits Mackinnons skate
yeah it looked like a little bit did
music at 4:17 to 4:37?
Hi can you tell me how to get clips for my second channel about hockey clips
Even when these guys eat shit on the ice the look more graceful than me skating
I'll never forget mcdavid tryna split the defense
Cale Makar is fucking inhuman. His lateral movement doesn't even look like it should be possible. Glad he's on my fav team lol.
I personally don't think I can recover if my ankles get broken so hard I get sent flying off screen
Bro before I watched this I got a ad about north shore hosipatial
This could have been all Datsyuk. That guy was crazy.
Cooool:)))
The Getzlaf ones aren’t even fair. This video proves more that he can’t skate than he is getting lit up lol
Video idea: NHL controller disconnected: players just getting lost or completely giving up on plays
Lane Hudson will have his own version of this video by himself, probably by the end of the 24-25 season
I dont understant why there arent many mcdavid
Barzal is a menace💀
It’s funny how MacKinnon destroyed getslafs ankles twice this video
Datsyuk putting Couture on skates!
MacKinnon 12 Mil AAV next contract!?!
Somewhere between 10-12. Can’t see it being less or more
The amount of disrespect in this video is palpable
