Looks like that repair turned out nicely. I picked up one these a year or so ago from Amazon…i’m gonna attempt a similar repair to my grandpas old 1993 Sears Craftsman lawn tractor. The Hood support pivot/bracket has a broken joint…the bead appears to have broken clean. Do you mind sharing what rods you used for the repair? I didn’t think about metal thickness when I picked up rods…. Lincoln Electric (E6011…1/8 x 14 3.2mm x 350mm). If all goes well I may police up the mower deck too as it has some weak areas as well.

hi, i used 40102 1/16” rods, you can use the e6011 also,,, i used the smaller rod because metal was thin
